“What a lovely break”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

We have just had a lovely three night break at Warner Bembridge Coast and I would like to say thank you to all the staff. Our rooms were very nice, clean, well stocked, good television, lots of very hot water and soft towels. The food was good and so were the waiting staff. I must say the entertainment was much better than I expected, we had plenty to drink on the all inclusive and dance the night away. We used the fitness room and pool and there is also a nice steam room and sauna too. We joined in all of the quizzes which was such fun. The wine tasting was good not at all formal and we had some very nice wine,no spitting! The setting is lovely with beautiful little sun traps in the gardens, yes we sat in the sun in February! All in all a very nice weekend.

We had a 4 night 5 days stay. We arrived fairly late in the pouring rain and were made to feel welcome. Our cases were taken to our room (122).
We had time to get ourselves washed and changed before we went down to dinner, our waiter for our stay was Michael he was extremely good and made us feel comfortable very quickly. He looked after us extremely well all week. The bacon at breakfast time was simply brilliant wish i knew where they got theirs.
The food in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful especially considering the quantity they are cooking for. I do think the chefs and the rest of the kitchen staff were in need of praise for a good job well done.
Then we went in to the Admirals bar for the evening entertainment. Where we met Hannah and the rest of the girls and boys who provided us with so much fun for the week, well done all of you. A really big thank you to all of you for the hard work you all did in making the holiday so good. Hannah was the ASSISTANT Manager of the entertainments team, but we never did find out who the manager was. Make yourself known young man or woman whoever you are. Or promote Hannah to the manager. To think that this wonderful young lady has had the big "C". She has given me the inspiration to get myself back to a reasonable level of fitness.
The bar staff were also absolutely brilliant all of them. But I’d like to say a big thank you to Charlotte for always being friendly and cheerful then to Amanda keep that lovely infectious smile on your face you made me feel good.
The bowls was very good and never had any trouble booking a game. But we are really short mat bowlers and there is not really any facility to do short mat, the only one drawback to the week.
The coffee shop was ok. but one member of the staff a man in his 50s I’d guess without glasses really does need to do some sort of customer care course, he really did not have a clue as to how to talk or deal with customers, the only person i met all week like it. There was another chap with him who had glasses he was ok.
Our room was excellent, well looked after by a lady we never met Emma well done to you for a good job as well. My only downers were the room was far too warm even with the radiators off and the window open. So neither I nor my wife slept so well. There were a couple of very dirty black marks on the carpet that really did spoil the look of a good room that has only recently been refurbished. I’d guess that had we asked we could have had the quilt changed to one with a lower tog rating that would also probably have helped the situation.
So overall my impression was a really excellent holiday well worth the money and well worth doing an all-inclusive. Made not having to keep on paying a pleasure.

Room Tip: I would not know what to say every where was so good.Probably the sea view rooms are a little better...

Just back from a 4 night mid week stay at Bembridge coast hotel. We have been to weekend breaks before but this was our first Monday to Friday. I phoned the Hotel and asked for a couple of things and Kirsty was brilliant, very helpful. This hotel is so well placed, with great views and in easy reach of attractions. The food is excellent and you have to be pretty fussy to not find something to your liking. dinner is from a huge choice, great starters and many choices in the main course and tempting desserts. The rooms are very nice, we had a Signature room with Solent views. The entertainment was great, the team work really hard and Mikey has the voice of an angel. Lots of activities throughout the day, rifle shooting, archery, wine tasting, quizes, Line dancing and other types. You would never be bored. We had a "drinks inclusive" break. We wondered what it would be like, would there be a crush at the bar ? No ! It was so civilised, just lovely people popping to the bar as and when, no one leaning on the bar all the time, very nice indeed. I would say go to Bembridge, it has a lovely atmosphere, go and enjoy.

Room Tip: To be honest, all the rooms are nice, but just make sure you are in the main part of the Hotel so yo...

Just returned from a stay at Bembridge it was an absolute fantastic break. We had a Royale Room right on the corner with sea views from too angles. The room was very large with an massive bathroom, a four poster bed, plenty of places to store you things, a television, tea making things which never run out, the bathroom had a walk in shower and a wonderful large bath. the room was cleaned to a high standard every day. My wife uses a wheelchair you never saw it in the room as the corner by the door was big enough to hide it. The food was very good and service in restaurant was good and plentyful the waiter offered to assist with getting food from the carvery and at breakfast. All day there was things to do with the cold weather every one was in the hotel all the time. The evening shows were off a good standard hard work for a very small team to keep everyone occupied day and night. We very rarely plan to return to an hotel or say at some time we will return but this one we are planing when we can return especially in the warmer weather to enjoy the outside space as soon as possible

Room Tip: 424 was a good room which could of easily been a suite being on a corner had excellent views

We have been going to Bembridge for years and one of the reason we choose Bembridge in January is the games room and quiet room. We got there and the games room has gone and so has the quiet room. People were understandably complaining. There was no where to sit as everyone was trying to cram into the lounge. Yes they have decided to turn these into more rooms so more money in their pockets. Its a disgrace that we were not informed before we arrived and given a choice of staying elsewhere. The food was also awful, mostly cold and when we told our watier he just said "oh". We will not be returning.

Disabled access rooms with sea views wonderful.plenty of room and walk in wet room shower. extremely comfortable beds, very clean room. quiet at night, except when you get inconsiderate people walking past the door talking loudly late at night. not hotels fault though. Food average, the self service carvery is better that the waitress served meals. Soup is dried packet, not homemade which was disappointing for the price charged. Very substantial self service breakfast, or table served option. Unfortunately, if you are disabled, getting the self service food is difficult, and the waiting staff will not serve that to you, so its do it yourself or put up with the mediocre menu alternative. Saturday and Tuesday entertainment different each week, but the rest of the week it is the same thing throughout the year, so if you go more than once a year chances are you have seen the act before, which is a shame. Daytime activities very limited, but the swimming pool and gymj are nice, but the water in the pool is always too cold. Overall, it is a decent holiday, but rather overpriced for what it is.

Taking advantage of the 50% off sale we booked the Royale Suite. On arrival we were suitably impressed. it had four room areas in an open plan style and is the room pictured in the brochure and on the website under Royale. It was spotlessly clean and with beautiful antique furniture. a fantastic modern bathroom with large shower and amazingly deep stand alone bath. A four poster king sized bed with firm mattress in the bedroom area with the ability to turn off the main lights from the bed. Fab view from the lounge area with a wall of windows and the dressing/writing/telescope area was spacious. Plenty of space to put everything away.
32" t.v in the lounge and another in the bedroom to my husbands delight. Our chambermaid Bridgit was lovely and tailored the coffee, sugar etc to our personal needs which made us feel individual and not one of the herd.

Breakfast was great with many options inc smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, fry up, yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit, porridge, etc.

Dinner absolutely fantastic with good choices every night. It is better to have the "brought to table option" as the carvery is cooked to appeal to the majority (not good if you like your beef rare for instance) The chefs do a fantastic job and the braised ham hocks were divine. Our waitress Madelaine was always smiling and nothing was too much trouble.
In the bar Alicia and Buster were the same with cheery chat and a lovely smile. People have whinged about the bar prices on site but a pint of lager was actually 10p cheaper than in Milton Keynes so I guess it is all relative. Royale rooms come with designated parking and roomier tables in the restuarant with a sea view. Room 402 has now spoilt us for the other rooms as it is huge and luxurious so we will be returning.

Room Tip: royale rooms/suites are roomier
