My wife and I spent our Ruby wedding anniversary 15th September here with our family and dined in the Burlington restaurant. On the day we arrived early and had the afternoon strawberry tea which was nice but minimal, however seating was difficult in any of the lounges, the seats were either taken or reserved and we seemed to sit in a corridor. We had a few drinks before dinner with the hotel providing a glass of champagne for each of us on the house which was very kind of them. At dinner we chose the A la Carte menu in the restaurant and were not disappointed the food was excellent but minimalist with additional extras between courses, I would like to have seen a little more vegetables on the plate and forget the extras between courses, although I have been to other fine dining establishments and this seems to be the norm.
We stayed in the Wharfedale wing which was clean and tidy but small with good views of the grounds.
Devonshire Arms apart from being near Bolton Abbey is also near Grassington a lovely little village and an ideal walking area.
Overall we had a great two days with excellent service, excellent food and a good walk

Room Tip: Wharfedale wing is quiet with good views of the surrounding countryside

We spent 2 great nights here, on arrival we were upgraded to the shepherds room with a great 4 poster bed, and we given some delicious chocs as well! The hotel is beautifully maintained and is great with little touches like fresh flowers in the room! The food in the brasserie was of great quality and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The spa across the road is again done to a high standard and at times we were the only ones in there. If you want a relaxing romantic break and fabulous scenery and walks on the door step, this is the place to go!

Room Tip: Worth spending that bit extra for views! We have stayed in the nidderdale rooms before and they are great to!

Our stay at the Devonshire Arms to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary was thoroughly enjoyable and memorable. The upgraded room with champagne and card on our arrival was a much appreciated personal touch. We loved everything about the hotel from attractive spa to the relaxed setting of the brasserie to the graceful conservatory where we ate our breakfast. It enjoys the most attractive setting with easy access to beautiful surrounding countryside. Staff made us feel very welcomed and cared for. Would love to return for other family celebrations!

What a fantastic spa break. From the welcoming to departure we had an excellent time. The staff were friendly but professional, the accommodation was great and the tasting menus at the Burlington stunning. Highly recommended and will definitely return

Dear drnat07
Thank you for your lovely review, it was great to hear that you had such a good time and that the staff looked after you so well. Adam Smith is the Head Chef of the Burlington and he is over the moon that you thought his food was so stunning - he's not been here long so it's going to get even better. We look forward to seeing you soon, perhaps with friends as well.
Kind regards

Yet again a wonderful stay. The staff were attentive but discreet (a hard art to master), the food beautifully presented and full of flavour and a full and eclectic wine list.
Alfie the pooch was made to feel welcomed and enjoyed joining us for cocktails in the cocktail lounge, he felt quite at home.
Looking forward to returning in November for the Food Festival, thoroughly enjoyed it last year.
