Myself and son (12) and daughter (9) went to Folly Farm while on holiday in South Wales courtesy of Tesco Clubcard rewards. We had a wonderful day and would absolutely recommend it. There was lots of unusual and interesting things to look at and do, we didn't manage it all. Milking a goat was one of them, it looked tricky. I LOVED the vintage fairground, a couple of the old slot/game machines took me right back to childhood holidays in the late 1970s/early 1980s. It was all immaculate, with real attention to detail. I notice the little things and one of these was fresh milk in your tea rather than UHT, lovely. Parts of the zoo area towards the back of the site felt a little bit worn compared to the bright and new looking areas elsewhere, but that might partly because it's all natural wood and the grassed there were very parched. Buying homemade fudge for the journey home also a good idea. They didn't slice it up for you, but my two were happy to eat the whole bar, so it didn't matter.

Many thanks for writing a review and recommended us to other travellers. We're delighted you had a great time particularly bringing back childhood memories in our fairground. We are slowly developing the top section of the zoo including the new zoo keepers' garden so that is a fair comment. Glad you enjoyed the fudge on your way home, the staff would have been happy to slice it for you but we serve it that way for gift presentation. Hope to see you again soon.

incredibly clean and well kept for a farm! spacious barns to view all sorts of animals, education stations and hands on petting. loved the little train ride to the piggery.
and thats not all, adjacent to the farm is a well equipped zoo, can get close to the animals, even in the tree tops to pet the giraffes.
fun fair outside and an old fashioned carnival inside...what a absolute gem of a placetreat

Loved Folly Farm, plenty to do whatever the weather and you don't need to have children to visit Folly Farm either. The new penguin enclosure is well worth a visit. Also, if you have clubcard vouchers then you can exchange them online for entry into folly farm. A £5 voucher gives you £20 entry into folly farm.

We have been visiting Folly Farm for quite a few years and our kids absolutely love it even though they are getting older now.
There is no problem spending the full day here (loads to do and see), and it is great value for money.
They don't treat you as a captive cash-cow once you are in, and everything is reasonably priced.
Animal welfare is good in the zoo area, and there are loads of play areas which are free once you are inside, as well as the fun fair go-carts big wheel etc. These are all very reasonable for example the Ferris wheel is 50p per person.
Overall, really well run with a welcome attitude

At under a tenner each and under 3s free this is amazing value compared to comparable attractions and offers so much more.
There is the farm animals and pets, trailer ride arounf fields, indoor funfair, indoor adventure playground and softplay centre, interactive zone with fish, birds and bugs, zoo area with giraffes, penguins etc, go karts, outdoor play grounds for all ages, big wheel, sand play areas plus the usual food refreshment areas you would expect.
Toilets are spotless and there is baby changing all over the park not just in one area so ideal for the very young visitor. Staff are friendly and helpful . Virtually no queues whenever we have been.
The only problem is deciding what to do first !
