We have been visiting Folly Farm for quite a few years and our kids absolutely love it even though they are getting older now.
There is no problem spending the full day here (loads to do and see), and it is great value for money.
They don't treat you as a captive cash-cow once you are in, and everything is reasonably priced.
Animal welfare is good in the zoo area, and there are loads of play areas which are free once you are inside, as well as the fun fair go-carts big wheel etc. These are all very reasonable for example the Ferris wheel is 50p per person.
Overall, really well run with a welcome attitude

At under a tenner each and under 3s free this is amazing value compared to comparable attractions and offers so much more.
There is the farm animals and pets, trailer ride arounf fields, indoor funfair, indoor adventure playground and softplay centre, interactive zone with fish, birds and bugs, zoo area with giraffes, penguins etc, go karts, outdoor play grounds for all ages, big wheel, sand play areas plus the usual food refreshment areas you would expect.
Toilets are spotless and there is baby changing all over the park not just in one area so ideal for the very young visitor. Staff are friendly and helpful . Virtually no queues whenever we have been.
The only problem is deciding what to do first !

I went to Folly Farm as a child and loved it, but since then it has become something completely different. With a zoo, plenty of interaction with the animals and play areas for children it is excellent. I'm 21 but easily still spent the whole day there. So much to do! Especially amazing is the giraffe viewing area with very close proximity - don't miss it.

Many thanks for taking the time to post a review. We're pleased to hear you still enjoy Folly Farm now as much as you did when you were a child, especially the giraffes. Thanks for the recommendation, hope to see you again soon.

The zoo is for everyone but the playground is mainly for little children. The large indoor playground is easily accessibly for adults if they want to accompany their child. It's also fun for younger teenagers. The indoor fairground is also built for a large age range. The Caterpillar and Swings are designed more for older visitors than the younger ones.

Many thanks for writing a review on our attractions. We are mainly aimed at families with children aged 0-9 so many of the attractions are geared towards this age range. However, as you point out we have many things such as the zoo and funfair which appeal to teenagers, young adults and adults without children across a wide age range. Hope you enjoyed your visit and that we'll see you again soon.

Took our grandchildren for a treat.
Being just week before school holidays farm was not overcrowded.

Animals seem extremely well looked after with new additions of Giraffes and Penguins.

A nice touch is the giraffe viewing platform which allows you to get up close to their heads and stroke them.

Old style funfair is good value with lots of the old favourites, waltzers, ghost train etc.

Unfortunately they have the grab type machines which are near impossible to win at and the children get really upset when they don't win the lovely tempting prizes on offer. The park should put the same toys in the shop so the children can be placated .
