We enjoyed our burger n chips which came arranged on an attractive board. A half pound of excellent beef cooked to order. Home made chutney. Artfully stacked giant onion rings. And tasty hand cut chips presented in a miniature metal deep fry basket.
The food was lovely although the onion rings could have done with a dab with a paper towel as they were a touch greasy. Extra marks for buttering then grilling the cut sides of the roll although the roll was cold by the time it got to me.
The assortment of tiny puddings hit the spot. In each case (and we tried four) they were rich and tasty and just what they should be. Well done, Glenskirlie House!
Tea after was a delight. The light from the bookcase opposite illuminated the fronds of mint leaf in deep green liquid in my glass theiere. Drinking from the Rosenthal cups and saucers was a real pleasure.
