“what a beautiful paradise...”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

prior to booking, i first read the previous reviews of BBC but none had one after the resort has been renovated (sometime Dec 2013?). Most of the complaints were the old rooms and facilities, etc. etc. so we had to gamble and so glad we picked this hotel amongst our other choices. It is truly bohol's newest…

we were torn where to go at first... Alona or Bolod? so why not go to both? we had one night stay at Alona (separate review) then two nights here in BBC. anyway, here are my reviews of the BBC hotel….

the hotel was generally nice, clean and secure. i loved the setup of the hotel including proximity/location of the rooms, pool, restaurants, beach etc. seems it was planned perfectly. it is mainly catered for families or the likes since its a private resort compared to Alona which is more of a public party area.

staff from reception up to the waiters were courteous at all times. attentive to all our needs and complaints (wifi was slow maybe because of the typhoon). special mention to the Gen. Manager who made sure that everything is well taken care of.

the deluxe bedroom was big enough for 3 and is in new condition. 1-queen size bed and 1-double bed. usual basic features.. toiletry supplies, safety dep box, mini ref, dryer, lcdtv, etc.. the room was very clean, smells good and truly comfortable. no complaints on the room.

the pool was also clean complete with towel boy and lifeguard. Depth is from 3ft to 5ft so it will cater the children as well as the adults. The pool is rectangular in shape and is perfect for laps. daughter loved the pool and couldn't stop swimming.

the restaurant have generous serving and tastes average to above average. we ordered seafoods, pasta and filipino dishes priced between 200-300 pesos. beer is at 80 pesos. i heard there are also cheaper restaurants nearby/walking distance (Dumaluan area) but haven't tried that since we are satisfied with the selection in the restaurant.

the beach... WOW! powdery white sand…. even after the typhoon, i was expecting a little bit of trash but there was none at all… i hope they maintain this as it is. lots of fishes and starfishes. no signs of jelly fish and/or any unwanted creatures on the sea during our stay. though its a long walk when you want to swim properly since the water is very shallow.

will definitely go back to this hotel when in bohol. hope i can be of help when you decide to book. just look at the picture perfect areas i took of the hotel (sorry for the quality). if you like to relax in a quiet and private environment, then this is definitely the one, truly one of bohol's best….

My fiance and I stayed in the beach view cottage Rm 505 for 3 nights from 10th Feb 2014, from the collection at Airport, the service was out standing, professional, and very attentive. We were greeted with smiles, and refreshing welcoming drink, and the best express check in I have experienced.
We were the first to stay in the recently renovated cottage, and the finishes well worth it, and quite luxurious. The room direct access to the beach, with brand new fittings fit for a king, the room extremely neat and tidy.
Unfortunately during our time here we were sick, had the flu from Manila, but just to show you their service, when we returned from a beach walk, there was a complimentary get well fruit platter, not to mention the nightly personalized cards for a pleasant evening, and endless supply of calamansi & honey drinks to remedy our sickness. As you walk around the resort all the staff are smiling and friendly with great english. I would definitely recommend the resort to anyone, the most amazing awesome beach at your finger tips, and a resort full of professional staff accommodating all you needs with a smile.

Room Tip: Rm 505 Cottages worth the extra

Actually went here for a day trip . We were staying at a different hotel and we just rented a motorcycle to visit this place. Truly, this place is amazing, with many things you can do, we should've booked on this hotel instead. The pool, the food most especially really made me feel I'm on a holiday. The environment is so relaxing. the staff are accommodating as well.

We even made friends at this hotel. Fellow day trippers who happened to be staying somewhere near our hotel. i so love this place.

Bohol Beach Club is a lot of great things (and a few minuses, to be fair) but I'd like to sum it all up into three: 1. Great beach! I have not seen sand as white and fine since Boracay. My husband and I were there in May 2012 and we had the greatest fun running on the beach every morning. And since it's a private resort, you won't have to fight for your personal space on the beach. 2. Premium hospitality. The staff are all genuinely nice and perpetually smiling or offering warm greetings each time you'd meet them within the resort. I mean, I get that it's their job being in this industry but in some places you'd sometimes come across staff who are grumpy and less friendly. At BBC, you won't find such a person. 3. Ambience. Idyllic, relaxing, beautiful, quiet are only some of the words I could think of to describe BBC. On top of that, the resort is also well maintained. I remember seeing staff always sweeping the garden and other common areas to make sure there aren't any visible trash around. We also enjoyed the complimentary glass boat ride and kayaking trip! On our last day, we got a massage by the beach and it was divine! The only downside I could think of is the state of the rooms. They are not decrepit (far from it!) but I must say that they are a bit old and you can even catch of whiff of it when you first walk into the room. There's that faint musty smell you normally associate with old rooms. The food, although great, is relatively pricey. Overall, BBC is a great resort to visit in case you are planning a trip to Bohol. I would say it's worth every peso and perhaps even more when you consider how pampered you will be once you get there.:)

Room Tip: Get the beach front room if you can. Although the garden view rooms are also nice, but the view of t...

I will give this a four stars for what it is. I wanted to stay at Panglao Nature but the prices were just too expensive. Enter BBC! Although we missed the driver by the boat and we didn't connect at the port, (not his fault at all, lots going on that day) the staff at the resort were friendly and accommodating and ready to help us in anyway.

The grounds are pretty. Quaint, without any elaborate decor, but nice.
The main attraction here is the pool funny enough, not the beach, which in itself (the pool) is quite out of the way from the hotel. Still, its a very nice pool.

Didn't try the beach while i was here because I was on tour in Bohol much of the time.

Rooms are in dire need of repair. Room was small, and had single beds.

Less of a resort and more of a crash area before your tours through bohol. Again though, loved the pool. Will try Panglao next time.

I feel Escaya and Panglao are both overpriced though.

Bohol beach Club is a perfect place to relax. A very impressive beach front.
Staffs are hospitable. Check in is fast.

Rooms are nice. with complimentary toiletries and hot/cold shower. The Pool is nice. but we did not plunge into it, we prefer to be at the beach most of the time.
We enjoy the complimentary glass boat ride, where we rode a glass bottom boat and you can see the corals and the fish sanctuary.

We enjoy walking along the beach with the white sand just a bit like Boracay has.

Throughout my stay in bohol, i stayed in this hotel. i gotta say that it was an awesome experience staying in this hotel. My number one criteria for a good hotel was ambience and bohol beach club surely met that. Although rates got pricey, you'll surely get what you pay for.

How i wish everyone gets a chance to stay with this resort.

Thumbs up!:)
