“Good, but not tarsier-wise :)”
Reviewed December 18, 2013

Botanika Tarsier is NOT a botanical garden or a tarsier concervation facility, still, it's a really nice quiet place to visit.
Within 15 minutes drive from Alona beach (part of the road is rather bumpy), it's one of the few things to do in Panglao - apart from your beach activities. The complex consists of the lush tropical garden, a souvenir shop, a horse range, a mini-ZOO (still no tarsiers, monkeys available, though), 3 little private galleries (the owner collects art) and - most important! - some restaurants. I liked best the one on a cliff, facing the most beautiful sea landscape you can imagine. The food was not great, but the place is amazing.

“A great afternoon.”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

If you like nature, Tarsier Botanika is a great place to go. They have a shop on Alona beach where you can catch a free shuttle to the main site and they warn you: No tarisers at Tarsier Botanika...

The main site is a beautiful area where you can see all the vegetation of the region. As others have said, the animals cages are a bit cramped, but the animals were clean and looked healthy.

The restaurant is very good, but a bit pricy. But it was worth it.

Definitely recommended.

“A perfect place to visit.... Different animals in cages”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

We like the ambiance.... the gardens, view over the ocean, are well worth seeing. Would like to visit here next time. Also like to see the different animals, but haven't seen the tarsier. I like to see and know that we have these kind of treasures, but pity seeing they are just in the cages. They should be in open environment- live in nature. After visiting the different animals and gardens, we went to the restaurant with a nice view of the ocean, windy in a real freshness. Hear the waves of the oceanCan say, its really like we're in paradise!.... The food are very well tasty. Thanks to the excellent staff.

“Great place to visit.....but Hell for the captive animals”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

The gardens are well worth seeing. We paid to go in and it was money well spent.
The restaurant is excellent, little highly priced, but the food and the location , view, is well worth it. It was windy when we ate in the restaurant, but still decided to sit outside for the view. The waiting staff were excellent. Would love to try there in the evening next time.

Just a pity about the animals in those cages. Cages too small and apes/big birds kept in solitary. Very bad really. Tarsier Botanika does not really need to keep a mini zoo such as this, to attract tourists. I am sure that most Europeans would find the zoo distasteful.
Please get rid of it and see to it that all the animals go to zoo's that can better acomodate/care for them.

“Not worth the trip”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

The tarsiers are cute and fun to look at but they are active only at night so you can't really see much in the day time.
