The contact form on their website sends back "Site error". Given that they say their website admin is done by a German company is... beyond comprehension.

The rate info on the website is current as of 2010.

My email to the address given on the imprint webpage has not been auto replied nor answered.

The webres booking page shows no rooms available at any time in the next six months.

What gives?

$220++ a night!! Let's start with the hot shower, you get hot water for one minute and it goes cold and there is no water pressure. If it was $20 a night I could understand that. The room we stayed in is nowhere near the photos you see on their website. They do not show you the ugly rooms they offer. They also have this dangerous Saloon Western Double Swinging Cowboy Style wood Bar Doors in their bathrooms and it's definitely not child-friendly. My wife caught her fingers a couple of times by the way. The Beach front is not exactly what you see on the website. it's full of sea grass and you see patches of white sand areas. The water causes severe rashes after a swim so don't forget to bring your anti-itch cream. It is basically a trap when it comes to food. There is nowhere near for other options to eat. There's a lot of hype about their food and it's over-priced. The pool is rather small and has no shower. One good thing about the resort is the service. However as soon as i got there I asked them what is Bohol's signature dish? I got a blank stare. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANANYANA for its price. AND I WOULD NEVER COME BACK. I would rather spend the same amount and fly to Thailand.

Room Tip: If you've got money to waste try the villas. They don't have plunge pools and they are overp...

Ideal for a romantic stay. The decoration mixes modern design with a filipino touch. Staff is very helpful.

I stayed at Ananyana with my girlfriend and family for 3 nights/4 days whilst traveling around the philippines. Before our arrival we had many mixed feelings about what to expect and were surprised in many different ways throughout our stay.

Getting there was quite a trek from Bohols capital (port). After about an hour by car we finally arrived at the Resort. WE had to make our way through a small trail and a maze of local houses before we finally came upon the gate which behind was our new home for 4 days....

At first glance the resort was very naturally decorated, not changing much of its natural lot. As we moved closer to the main amenities (bar, swimming pool, dining area) a sign of elegance began to shimmer.

Altogether our stay was very comfortable. The rooms are very well set up, neutral decor and fitted with very nice furnishings. The food was absolutely amazing (the best part of the resort)!!! The beach, although with white sand and clear water, was still very murky and not kept after. The amenities were average. I believe the resort has a great deal of potential and needs some make over before it one deserves what they pay for...

We spent 3 nights at ananyana hotel. First impression was excellent with perfect welcome and the surroundings were nice. The food was excellent. The pool side is lovely. The spa is great.
The bad points were :
-the beach is not swimmable , which is a pity when you come to Philippines
-all the activities are super expensive compared to what you can find outside : rent a bike, rent a motorbike,...as well as the food and the drinks and as you are far from everything, difficult to find alternatives .
Finally, I would advise this hotel to those who want quiet place, do not want to swim in the sea....

We spent a wonderful week at the Ananyana--one of the best places we have been in many years of diving and snorkeling. The entire experience of the place leaves you utterly relaxed and peaceful--the quiet white sand beach directly in front of the resort, the uniformly excellent personalized service in both the resort and the dive operation, the terrific food at the restaurant--to say nothing of being able to dive and snorkel over the beautiful reefs of Panglao Island. It rained for 2 days and we hardly minded, we enjoyed being at the Ananyana so much.

We spent 3 nights and were completely satisfied. Was a great escape after exploring Manila and rice terraces in Batad. Is a closed resort, so you can feel really relaxed. Not so big, so you'll always find place on the beach. The garden is beautiful. Restaurant is one of the best reasons to choose this hotel. They also organize snorkeling/diving trips close to other islands. So we did go to snorkeling. Privat boat, pirate service and we spent time snorkeling as much as we wanted. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Only the best memories.
