We booked the Dumaluan Suite 4D/3N 5pax, the view from the room was great but other than that they have the worst food and service ever.
Day 1= check-in time was 2PM we arrived at 4:30PM and the room was not ready had to wait 30 mins.
Day 2 = Had to wait 20 mins for a pack of instant coffee and hot water and 1 hour for a set breakfast (included in the pkg) canned tuna, scrambled eggs and fried rice.
= Called a waitress so we can order, she called another, then another but no one responded.
= Our room was at the 3/F no communications what so ever from the room to the FDesk. Need to go down or scream your heart out hoping that they will respond.
= They do not have bath mats, they don't refill amenities - soap and shampoo.
= They do not make-up rooms unless you tell them daily.

FOOD WAS EXTREMELY AWFUL!!! The oil used was so black that it turned a golden fried calamari to black.

BOHOL is a beautiful place to go but just don't go to Dumaluan Beach Resort!!!

My family and I liked Dumaluan. The beach is wide with white powdery sands. The waters are clear. The beach is shallow which my teenager kids like. We also liked walking on the shores of Dumaluan and Bohol Beach Club. I walked also on the shores of Alona Beach. But I enjoyed better the sand, sea, and sky at Dumaluan. In Alona, there are several resorts, but their beach fronts are just small.

We stayed in an Executive Room which is newly-built. We had a comfortable accommodation. No problems encountered inside. The water in the shower has a beach water taste. But that's just okay with us. You don't drink it anyway. The room rate is just reasonable.

The food in the resort is a bit expensive for the taste. But I should also consider that the resort is in the countryside. So I am not expecting that they could cook delicious and sumptuous food all the time. But given the good business location of Dumaluan, I am pretty sure the owner would still improve its food. But don't miss ordering grilled foods like squid, pork belly, chicken, lapu-lapu. Oh you will love it.

My family which is a typical Filipino made the right choice in staying at Dumaluan 2.

From Dumaguete, we stayed at Dumaluan. From the Port of Tagbilaran, the resort's service fetched us. But we had to stop at BQ (One of the small shopping centers there) because we needed to buy some personal supplies before we head to another beach resort haha. Good thing, it was all good with the staff.
When we arrived at the resort, the staff were really friendly and was very accomodating.
We stayed at one of their new rooms on the 2nd floor. the room was very spacious. Bathroom has a very big shower, water heater and a handy bidet for the toilet. So loving it! haha
The beach is right beside bohol beach club, so during the day and the early evening, you can walk you heart out all throughout the white sand beach of panglao.
Rooms were clean. The only thing that we didn't anticipate was that there were a bunch of HRM and Tourism students from EAC which were on an educational trip, that's why the resort was fully booked by that time.
They have their own pool as wel inside the resort.
And the owner is also a dog lover, and near the pool lives the cute doggies!
all in all, our stay in the hotel was great!
We even had an open mie sing-along with the bosa diva they had during that evening. Afterwhich, had cool soothing drinks from their bar.

upon arrival to Tagbilaran airport the resort will pick you up and bring you to the resort. our room was huge since we booked late, we have no other choice but to get the executive suite. The room was really nice and affordable, it was actually inexpensive. Another thing i liked about the resort is they can arrange boat services for island hopping, dolphin watching and snorkeling. They arrange land tours too! What i didn't like is few choices of food and the breakfast serving is so small -- but hey, for an inexpensive room, it woulden't hurt if you order something extra to satisfy your hunger.

We stayed in Dumaluan 2 for two nights. The location was perfect. The beach in Dumaluan (which is beside Bohol Beach Club) is perfect - white sand, coral reefs just a few meters from the shore. The resort rented out snorkels :)

As for the accomodation, we liked: free wi-fi access at the restaurant, great live music at night, and the friendly staff.
We disliked: Our first room was C5 (de luxe room). Terrible smell in the bathroom, coming from the tub (I think). We had to turn-off the aircon to let fresh air in. Also, the room was too dark.
The next day we moved to D7. Room was newly renovated. Good lighting. The only problem was the drain of the sink was clogged.

But despite the plumbing problems, the resort met our expectation. By the way, the outdoor grill in Dumaluan 1 was remarkable. Value for money and fresh seafoods!
