“The Best on Alona Beach”
Reviewed October 16, 2011

This is the 4th time that I've been in this place and I'd say; "simply the best in Alona Beach Panglao". The resort is tact out from the loud music bands playing at night. Rooms are facing on the swimming pool where you can enjoy sunbathing without the Masseuse harassing you for a massage. But if you want one, the reception can as well provide it for you.

Rooms are without TV. It's basic but very neat and clean. It has its own small veranda facing the swimming pool area.

Their restaurant has wide selection of food. From local, Asian, Thai, European and etc. And tell you, the food is amazing! My friends and I tried some other places but we agreed on one thing: "EAT AT OASIS" Quality meal for an affordable price. You can also request for buffet, you just need to ask the reception or, in our case, we spoke with Marcus, the General Manager of the place who've been very helpful to us.

I should say that the place is very well managed and the staff are very well handled.

See you all when I come back!

The resort had a homey feel. I just love the huts where we stayed. They were situated far apart to maintain privacy within the room. The breakfast was great, they offered International Cuisine, Wifi access in the dining area was quite slow. But then there was really no need for internet, as the island offered all the respite possible. Reception people were very accommodating. Just tell them where you want to go and they can arrange tours for you. Great place for divers. For an island brimming with people, Oasis is gently tucked away from them. I just love this place!!!

Room Tip: Room near the pool is the best.

Small and quite resort in the middle of Alona Beach. Good for divers. SeaQuest diving center is situated here. Has a pool with depth up to 3m (used for diving lessons). Alona Beach was a disapointment for me after Boracay. Too many diving boats right behind you, no ocean view, few places for swiming/sunbathering. But there are 2 good spots for snorkling right from the beach.

Room Tip: great place for snorkling - in the left corner of alona beach

Very lovely hotel:
+great location right on Alona beach central spot;
+great lil green garden with nice pool. Deepest area in the pool could be used for scuba diving lessons;
+Breakfast not bad
-Both fans and air-con are very noisy.
-If u wanna sit in the restaurant area in the garden with your own food, be prepared to get charged: 20P for hot water for a small cup noodles etc.

I maybe different from all other reviews here. I can say we just had an unfortunate event during our stay in this resort. But overall, the resort is awesome. Simple, very Filipino style, native indeed. Pleasant rooms. like a spa room. Even their comfort room is very nice. I am very strict when it comes to the cleanliness of the comfort room and Oasis resort exceeded my expectation.

This resort is located in the middle of Alona beach. I also liked their buffet international breakfast. Their swimming pool is also very nice. Though at night, there are mosquitoes around since the theme of this resort is like a garden. So be careful especially if with children.

The downside here is to book in advance. Make sure you have a hard copy of your reservations via email. Because during our time, we had a misunderstanding with the receptionist. She didn't ask us first if we will going to extend or not. She already accepted another guest without even asking us first. She just informed us to pack our things and be ready to check out because there is another guest who will occupy our room. That line from her pissed me off big time. She didn't even give us some assistance in transferring to other resorts. Our whole day got wasted looking for another resort.

Room Tip: Choose the garden bungalows, the one in front of the pool.

Nice, decent sized room. Air-con, fridge, shower. Good food. There are 2 places you can eat; on the beach and in the restaurant area near rooms (which has a better atmosphere). There's a pool with areas so sunbathe around it.

The staff are all really friendly and accomodating. Lots of nice fruit shakes on offer. Wi Fi. There's loads of bars and restaurants all along the beach - this island is growing quickly.

I'd reccomend it to anyone. I'd return if in the area again.

Quality, food (especially the buffet-breakfast), service, diving services were more than excellent. Was the second time I've been there after 2002 and the quality is still on top.
