Leasowe Castle enjoys a great location close to the sea on the Wirral Peninsula. We stayed there for 2 nights while visiting family in the area. The staff were very helpful and polite, even taking care of our delayed baggage that was delivered after we had left the hotel. The breakfasts were hearty and tasty and served in a bright and cheery room by very attentive staff. We had dinner in the bar one night and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The public rooms of the hotel are very nice, especially the "star chamber", which is like something out a medieval castle. The one thing that lets the place down is the state of the bedrooms. Ours had peeling wallpaper, water stained acoustic tiles on the ceiling and was very cramped for two people. It's a shame because with a bit of TLC the place could regain the grandeur that it obviously once had.

Found Leasowe Castle Hotel on internet site - pleasantly surprised at the low room costs. We were impressed with the exterior and interior. Booked two twin rooms and found them both immaculate.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. We found the location was convenient for the visits we wished to make.
I would recommend Leasowe Castle Hotel to anyone, and if I am ever in Wirral again, I would be so pleased to return to this lovely hotel. Thanks for a really pleasant experience!

Horrific is the word, The facade out the front is only the font , the rest looks like a run down bed and breakfast. We were quoted 3 very different prices, and only got the real price through the mersey travel board. 1st night we had a bed that rocked side to side. and big window draft with a closed window?. Promised papers every night, never happened. My boyfriends 7 year old child knocked the fire alarm which was 20 cm from the door handle, and then they charged a huge bill for this to reset and no paper work to prove someone had come out and very rude phone calls to top it off. Plus there is no pubs , cafes or shops anywhere near. the restaurant is very expensive for what it offers, very average food, we should of stayed in wallasey village, would of been cheaper , better service and more facilities,

We believe this review was posted as a reaction to the charge we needed to impose for a Sunday call out for an Engineer following the guests' son setting off the fire alarms. Naturally, they were unhappy about the charge, however, it appeared at the time they accepted that their young son should not have been unsupervised in the hotel.
The review was posted some time after their stay and directly after the charge for callout was confirmed to them.
They made no complaints at the time of their stay or immediately after.

We held our daughters wedding at this hotel and it couldn't be faulted!

The organisation was superb - we were all told exactly what and when to do (in a nice way). The castle public rooms have real character and tastefully decorated (some carved hundreds of years ago) and everyone felt at home there immediately.

Service was faultless - each course of the wedding breakfast was served on time with plenty of staff to accommodate our requirements. The transition from wedding breakfast to evening function room was very efficient.

However, at the top of the list was the food itself - both the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet were excellent.
