The monument itself is interesting, but the real surprise was the lovely woodland walks around it. Heading off through the trees on raised wooden walkways, at times waking over the over-flowing (jan 13) loch itself. Well worth it.

An iconic site in a beautiful valley. We were there in heavy rain and wind and the location was mystical. Well worth the short drive from Fort William.

I have the pleasure of passing this place twice a week throughout the year so I see it in all seasons. Scottish History and a fantastic day out for the family Take your Camera because the sunsets are breath-taken...! and also you can see the now famous Harry Potter train passing over the bridge!!

The landing of Bonnie Prince Charlie is commemorated with a monument here at Glenfinnan. The view over the monument and water from the viewing area is really magical and quite haunting. Well worth a stop off if you're in the area.
