Coffee and tea at Glenfinnan House Hotel to start with. Then a very interesting trip with lots of facts and features by our fantastic captain Jim. After some nice jacket patatoes at Acharacle Hotel a windy trip back up the loch. Wildlife was not abundant today, but we enjoid the trip. Would recommend for anyone who wants
Some quality / quiet time.

We really enjoyed our recent cruise on the loch with skipper Jim - this was our second outing on the Sileas and this time we brought our daughter and 6 year old grandson with us. It's a great experience and there's lots to see - fantastic scenery and wildlife. Jim is very knowledgeable about the loch and makes a pleasant and hospitable guide. The cruises are very well organised and light refreshments are available in the galley.

We had already done the short trip put with Jim on Loch Shiel on a previous holiday and we have now done the return trip to Acharacle and back. What a brilliant day. If you are interested in learning about the history of the area and seeing wonderful wildlife in a stunning setting - this is for you. We were looking forward to doing the full day and made sure we wrapped up warm......we were not disappointed. We saw lots of different birds including White Tailed Sea Eagles - an unbelievalbe treat! Jim gives a commentary as you are going along, which is very interesting. Jim will lend binoculars if you don't have them and he points out any birds / wildlife he sees on the way. We had just over an hour at Acharacle and had lunch at the local hotel. We will be doing this trip again.

We did the return trip from Glenfinnan to Acharacle and back and it was absolutely brilliant. The skipper was friendly and informative, very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the wildlife. This is an amazing chance to see parts of Loch Shiel inaccessible by road, and the scenery is stunning. We were especially lucky to have a really close view of two white-tailed eagles, plus golden eagles, black-throated divers and deer. Would highly recommend this and when we are next in the area we will definitely do it again. Worth every penny.

Went from Acharacle to Glenfinnan on the boat, then bus back to Acharacle. Views were stunning, and commentary on wildlife, history, and buildings from the boat's skipper was amazingly informative. Book in advance, and if wet or cold wrap up well!
