Domino’s Pizza shop Cullompton Services
The worst example of flouting basic food hygiene I have ever seen!

On Friday 14th February we (two adults and two children) stopped at this food and service outlet, located J28 M5 North Service Area near Cullompton, Devon.
As the children wanted pizza we decided to purchase from the Dominos 2go, two “meals” consisting of a small four slice pizza, a very small handful of wedge potatoes and a bottle of fanta orange times two – they had no cocoa cola! These “Deals” cost £5.99 each!
Firstly there was no portion control. The wedges were out of a plastic container in the fridge and the chap just put a VERY small handful of wedges into two large serving boxes, which were then heated. They were still cold inside and damp when served to us, so not properly heated either!
The pizzas were made by the same chap using his bare hands without washing them or wearing food handling disposable gloves. He took a ball of dough from the fridge tossed it about in orange coloured flour, which was left sitting on the work top from previous pizzas he had made. He bashed and prodded the dough with his fingers until he achieved the shape he wanted and then liberally scattered grated cheese on top, with his bare fingers. THEN someone else wanted serving so he abandoned the pizza and came to take the order. He used a mouse and computer screen, handled money, gave change and then went back to the pizza making without washing his hands. Next getting slices of pepperoni out and separating them with his unwashed hands he slapped them on the pizza. I watched him making two more pizzas, not washing his hands, or changing the flour on the worktop either! I’m glad I didn’t eat these pizzas, as it was the worst example of food hygiene discipline I have ever seen.

Why are food outlets allowed to flout the rules and risk people getting sick with lack of hygienic food preparation and food from the fridge not properly cooked?
