Description: Proprietors John & Lynn Bowen, Head Chef Rob Phillips & Second Chef's Liam Sampson & Chris Phare and all the staff wish you a very warm welcome to the Merry Harriers. We have tried to create a warm, welcoming, traditional Pub atmosphere. We think a Pub should be a Pub - not a restaurant. We pride ourselves on providing well kept Cask Ales, a good selection of quality, moderately priced wines and good home-made Pub Grub. We source our ingredients locally whenever possible. It not only tastes great, it helps to support our local community and to reduce food miles. Thanks to our

The Merry Harriers now has a very good menu selection, a friendly welcome, and fair prices for the good quality provided.

Had a fantastic meal at The Merrie Harriers. We all had Sunday Roasts which were delicious, very generous and good value. We were offered half portions for our children and these were huge. Unfortunately we didn't have any desserts (which sounded delicious) as we were all too full.

We called in here on a Sunday afternoon after being ignored in another pub. In stark contrast, the welcome was very friendly and we were quickly shown to a table, even though they were quite busy. We all had roast dinners, including the children, who had incredibly generous "half portions" at half normal price.

The roast dinners (loin of pork, pork belly and lamb) were all delicious, with super crispy roast potatoes and plenty of freshly cooked veg. So good were the dinners, that there was unfortunately no room left to try the very tempting looking selection of desserts!

Drinks were reasonably priced (including the soft drinks) and a good selection of real ales.

My family and I visited the Merry Farriers on a recent trip to the area. We chose this pub by viewing other trip advisor reviews, and after reading so many positive reports decided to book. We can confirm that all the other positive reviews are absolutely spot on, lovely welcoming staff, fabulous food, the portions were substantial and very good value. I have to be honest in that if we drove by the outside doesn't stand out and we possibly wouldn't have stopped, but thank goodness for trip advisor. Highly recommended.

The Merry Harriers is a really well run traditional Old English pub. The beer was excellent and the food was very good and excellent value for money. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the landlord even offered to drop us back into Cullompton afterwards as there was a long wait for a taxi. Highly recommended.
