Description: Proprietors John & Lynn Bowen, Head Chef Rob Phillips & Second Chef's Liam Sampson & Roit Quessou and all the staff wish you a very warm welcome to the Merry Harriers. We have tried to create a warm, welcoming, traditional Pub atmosphere. We think a Pub should be a Pub - not a restaurant. We pride ourselves on providing well kept Cask Ales, a good selection of quality, moderately priced wines and good home-made Pub Grub. We source our ingredients locally whenever possible. It not only tastes great, it helps to support our local community and to reduce food miles. Thanks to our

This hotel seemed to be in the middle of nowhere and we had one of our best pub meals. The service was excellent, very friendly, good value and the meal was delicious. We had the battered fish and not liking chips asked if we could have vegetables, the reply was no problems, what would you like, salad, vegetables, new potatoes, could not have been more helpful. It was very popular and I can see why. For a casual pub meal, highly recommended.

Great food and incredibly friendly, courteous staff. This is pub food (and hospitality) at it's best.

My partner and I went to the Merry Harriers today, Sunday 15th for Sunday lunch. What a treat, both our starters were lovely. My partner had the mezze and I had the pate. Both very tasty.

For our mains a vegetarian lasagne and roast lamb. Good sized portions, really enjoyable and all FRESH.

It must be said that the puddings looked amazing but neither of us had any room for such delights. However, we intend to visit again soon.

This is a true find and both the the landlord and landlady make you feel very welcome along with their son who is the chef and all the staff.

We turned up at Merry Harriers on Friday evening and asked them if they could find a table for 23 people. Instead of laughing at us and showing us the door they quickly set up a space out the back. All the staff were very friendly and couldnt do any more for us and the food was delicious. They even brought in the slide from the rain and dried it off so the kids to run around and play. A lovely country pub with a huge smile from everyone inside. Thank you for making the first night of a great weekend perfect.
