I ended taking two visitng friends to Marisa on a Monday evening because nothing else in the neighborhood was open. I wish I had just made them an omlette at home! Except for pretty good fried porcini mushrooms, the rest of the meal was well below my expectations. The lamb was too salty and tasted, as my husband remarked, "lesso". The tagliata was tough and the greens covered with a very sweet balsamico that made them inettable. A special of the day bistecchina was only barely passable. Needless to say, I will not be visitng this restaurant again, even though it is in my neighborhood. Too bad.

salami, coppa and lardo are perfect for the appetizer.
Here you cannot miss the ribollita and the fried artichoke.
The Fiorentina beef T-bone was very good and the service here is extremely nice.
They always offer at the end some digestive.

check is very reasonable considered the quality and also the fact that this restaurant is just 30 seconds aways from the highway exit at barberino di mugello (very very convenient!)

Best and quick service. I ate often feral pig with polenta (by the end and beginning of the year), or choose agnello al forno.

The restaurant is ok, nothing special. As we arrived Monday late in the evening, we have ordered just the bistecca fiorentina, the big size for two persons with oven potatos, and a red house wine, which arrived in a bottle. The quality of the wine was good. Finally arrived the bistecca, a nice big piece of tasty meat. Unfortunately the bistecca was cold and not medium, as we ordered, so the waiter took it back. After some minutes (10) we got it back, but it was not the same quality as we had many times at their neighbors Cosimo de'Medici.
At Cosimo they bring the bistecca for two on a hot plate and cut it at the table and is served on hot plates, where is possible to make the bistecca as you want, medium or well done.
So if there is no alternative go to Marisa, because Cosimo is closed Sundays and Mondays !
