I agree that this is a fine agra-tourismo that is a little shabby chic. Horses, sleepy cats and an old chapel serving as the reception room. The rooms, we had a living room and bed room, are large and furnished with antiques. We did have one period without hot water. There are large common room available for the guests to use. Breakfast was nice with a helpful staff serving.
The grounds are wonderful with a large park surrounding the estate. From points on the estate you can see Etna, our room was on the ground floor and we couldn't see it from there.
We took a the half board and it was excellent value. The on site restaurant was not open for dinner but the sister restaurant down the road, 1/2 mile, was open. Four courses, wine included. Wonder food, fungi, cheeses, pastas and mountain meat choices. Randazzo is pretty sleepy so I'd seriously consider this option for any stay
This is good base for exploring the Etna area.More
