I recently stayed at the Asajara Resort with my Wife and Daughter in the "Star" Villa and was delighted with the whole experience. Run by two very hospitable Thai gentlemen, we could not have been looked after better. They're instinctive attention to detail is evident in all aspects of the Resort. In particular, I would single out the labour of love it must have been when overseeing the exacting nature of the Resort's Thai style, natural wood constuction. They have even had beautiful hand built "Chedi" placed in the middle of a large water feature, close to the main building. The property is entirely in keeping with its lovely surroundings unlike, I have to say, a number of the other resorts we visited in the Suan Phung area. Asasjara is a very personal place with only a handful of individual, small villas, all of whom have great views of the unspoilt countyside and mountains. if you're looking for a place to truly unwind, in harmony with nature, then Asajara should be high on your list.

For those of you living and working in Bangkok this resort is complete serenity. In the largely undiscovered Ratchaburi province this resort offers three villas accommodating eihht people in the grounds of a fantastic tastefully built Thai wooden house The eleven acre site possesses beautifully landscaped gardens with blossom trees and outdoor pool with a small local river running across the plot. The villas both two and one storey have breathtaking views across to the hills in the far distance and the unspoilt countryside. The resort provides thai massage at a bargain THB 150 per hour and the Thai owners were fluent in English. caring and friendly but not intrusive. The outside decking provides perfect place for evening meals and breakfasts surrounded by the fountains ornaments ant antiques that the owners have collected. The rates for the villas are more competitive compared to chaam and hua hin. If you want a break away from the four star hotels and the hustle and bustle of bars and loud traffic this is the place to go ! Fantastic my family will be returrning again shortly fallen in love with the place and wish we owned it ..................

As stated in the previous review, this is an amazing little gem in the hills of Ratchaburi province. It is worth the little overnight detour if you are on your way from Bangkok to Hua Hin or are visting the floating markets. A very tasteful boutique resort looking more like a private house with a few cottages for friends nearby, the whole set on the side of a small stream with very nice mountain views. And what is great is that there is nothing around the hotel, you feel truly in the traditional unexploited Thai coutry side. If you have a car and a GPS, the hotel's website gives you the coordinates, then you should discover this area. The place is run by the owners who are very friendly and easy going.
