I stayed here last week, 18-24 August 2011 with my daughter, and would recommend it. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size, very clean with a balcony and as good as any others I have stayed in with higher star ratings. The bathroom is probably ready for a refit but again was clean and had a good powerfull shower, the water was a bit funny as it came out slowly and then became a torrent of water, which I didint mind but the temperature often fluctuated and so you need to be careful not to burn yourself. The beds were made and changed everyday and the floor areas mopped. There is a nice terrace to enjoy breakfast on or the air conditioned dining room. There is also a seating area to enjoy drinks or just to get some shade. The pool is small but with ample sun loungers and umbrellas to shade you and there is a small baby pool to the side. When I stay again I would definately request a room at the back of the hotel as we were at the front over the terrace and it was very noisy late at night with other residents talking and playing pool until 1 am in the morning. You could also hear the noise from the nearby Palms Bar until midnight too. There was also a lot of noise from traffic throughout the night and in the early hours of the morning from coaches, delivery vans and cars pulling up into the car park of the large Pollensa Park Hotel which is just across the way. Apart from that I would definately recommend this small friendly hotel, the other guests were very friendly too and seem to come back year after year, and I would feel comfortable staying here on my own if I had to.

Room Tip: If you need sleep try to get a room or apartment at the back of the hotel

This is a good two star hotel with excellent friendly staff. Rooms are OK large balcony , very clean and comfortable. There is no air conditioning ( as its a two star ) but you do get a large ceiling fan. Breakfasts are continental , lots on offer and you can eat outside. Pool area seemed fine and drinks were reasonably priced at the bar. What makes the hotel is its location , two minute walk to the massive beach and 10 minutes walk to the main part of the resort where the "main" restaurants are located. Bizarrely you don't have to walk far for two really good restaurants . Next door is the Golden Lion and whilst it doesn't look that great or trendy by comparison with other places by the harbor the food was excellent as was the Sol Y Mera grill straight down the road . The latter has a wood burning BBQ and a Texan chef who does all the cooking. An excellent resort and those who like walking will enjoy the two walks through to cala san vicentie and cala boquer . You will need trainers or walking boots. Go to the tourist info centre for maps and more information. The town of pollensa well worth a visit too. In summary resort fantastic and hotel good value for money would return. The only poor service we received was in the curry house in the square ( hidden costs) and rude staff at Trotter bar.

We travelled to Majorca for a family wedding and wanted a good value hotel for 4 nights (rather than our usual 5*). The Panorama Beach was recommended by our travel agent so, despite some adverse comments on Trip Advisor, we decided to take a chance.
This is a small family run hotel, set 1.5Km from the main port (15 mins stroll along the prom), in a quiet area. It is 500 yds from the beach, down a road which has the bus stop at the end, supermarkets, small bars & cafes - for us the position was good but if you want to be close to the action & town you may want to chose somewhere else.

The hotel is very clean, 2 floors (no lift); our room on the 2nd floor and at the back overlooking the mountains, was spacious, with a large balcony with 2 chairs & a table. There was a built in wardrobe, plenty of hangers but only 2 drawers. 2 bedside tables with lights & a huge ceiling fan with central light which cooled the room down nicely (despite there being no air conditioning), 2 small chairs , a full length mirror and a plug socket. The bathroom was fine, with everything you need -OK the shower cubicle was a little snug but the shower worked well- however it did go from warm to cold to scalding hot throughout the cycle but was OK once you got used to it. There is a lovely pool with sunbeds & umbrellas (take your own towels) and an outside seating area for drinks/snacks - the bar prices were very favourable compared to other bars nearby. Breakfast is contenental style only and for us was fine (delicious bread)! However, there was no fresh fruit which we would have liked; we had one lunch of toasted sandwiches & chips which was lovely but did not eat there at night.

The staff were very friendly & couldn't do enough to help - we asked for extra pillows & towels - it took 5 minutes for them to arrive, the room was cleaned daily & fresh towels daily. They phoned to confirm our departure with the coach company & would not charge us for the call; were helpfull with advice re bus times, things to see etc. However as all the floors are tiled, the noise echoed at night with people coming and going & women who insist on walking round the rooms in high heels!! The main downside to this hotel is THE BEDS - Oh dear, metal frames, rock hard matresses - so uncomfortable!

We had a good few days there but would not return until we are assured the beds have been replaced.

Room Tip: 2nd floor at the back if you want a quieter room

We were made to feel really welcome at Panorama Beach; the owners were so friendly and helpful. It was a short walk to the beach and very convenient for the bus stop. There's a generous, varied buffet breakfast available every morning.

Great value, great staff, great holiday.

This is a 2 star hotel that feels like a 3 star. The hotel represents very good value and service and is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach.

We stayed in one of the apartment blocks behind the hotel and had 3 large rooms - bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchen/dining room. This was a nice surprise as we could buy fresh fruit and soft drinks and keep them in the fridge. There was no air conditioning but this didn't pose a problem in mid to late September and a fan could have been provided if necessary. The hotel pool was very clean and there was always plenty of free loungers compared to paying 11 Euros for loungers and shade on the beach.

The buffet breakfast was fairly basic but appropriate for the price we paid and the 2 star rating. There was cereal, toast, rolls, tomato, cucumber, sliced ham, cheese, yoghurt, croissants, muffins, fruit juices, chilled water, tea and coffee. Apart from breakfast each day we only ate one snack meal at the Hotel and it was OK and cheap.

I echo the comments of the other reviewer who mentioned the loud music from the Palms bar about 25m from the hotel, mainly cover bands/singers and finished at 12 midnight so wasn't a big problem. There are plenty of little bars and shops along the hotel street that will satisfy anyone looking for English breakfast, football, newspapers, lager and occasional karaoke.

We both thought that Puerto Pollenca is a great resort. It is fairly quiet but has plenty of choice for places to eat from snacks to posh dinners. The beach is kept very clean and the sea was still warm at the end of September. The transport links from the resort are good too, we liked Alcudia, Formentor beach, Pollenca, Lluc monastery, Soller and Valdemossa. We did visit Palma and thought that the Open top bus was a good way to see the sights especially when it is hot.

For a 2 star hotel this isn't really too bad. It's a mixture of apartments & hotel rooms - we had an appartment (2C) whihc has a balcony either end. The staff are lovely, the accommodation is basic but clean(ish) and fuctional. The pool area is not large (and the children's pool is really only a paddling pool squashed in behind some apartments) but the main pool is fine and - in early September - we never had a problem getting a lounger. The beach is only a stroll away (but 2 loungers and parasol cost 11Euros a day on the beach - though you can stroll down for a swim in the sea and come back to lie by the pool). However, we tried half board and the food is truly awful. We didn't expect much (for what we paid) but really, what was served for dinner, was an insult (cheapest, nastiest, frozen food imaginable - 'crab sticks' on an island surrounded by fresh fish!). We had to eat out couple of nights (next door Golden Lion does great bbq chicken). Breakfast (bread, meat. cheeses etc) is fine - so room & breakfast ok but not HB. And the nearby Palms bar has 'tribute' acts belting out till midnight 3 days a week, which was ok but perhaps not great if you had kids.

Arrived at one in the morning after a disasterous trip on a thomas cook bus(three hours from airport) to find we were in the apartments, not the hotel, on the second floor(no lifts) heavy cases and very tired. the apartment was so awful I was lost for words.Very hot in room owner says "open door" we did noisy road .Oh joy what a good start went from bad to worse.Terrible smell in bathroom.Maid came the next day threw towels on bed put a dirty mop round the bathroom and vanished never to be seen until TWO days later. We then got most of the apartment cleaned. The food was not brilliant but alot of it,breakfast was probable best,no cooked one though.Thomas cook will hear about this and I for one will never book with them again. It was in a good position for the beach and that is all it has going for it.Definatelywould not return.
