Since our last trip to Puerto Pollensa this restaurant has arrived, and I mean arrived.
Sadly we found it late into our holiday and were only able to visit it once. We would have returned quite happily.
Set a that far corner of the square (place Miquel Capllonch) the Casa Vila is a truly Italian gem.
The food was excellent, wines sensibly priced and the serve spot on.
We fully intend on our return to visit, hoping of course, it survives, as one or two of our restaurants seem to have been hit by the economic situation.

On holiday I normally like to eat the food of the country I'm staying in but we ate at this Italian restaurant one night and it was just lovely. The waiters were very attentive, we sat outside looking out onto the square. We both had pasta which they say is made fresh in the restaurant. It was delicious. I could have eaten a lot more off the menu. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were recommended the restaurant by friends who commented on the quality of the food.
The restaurant is in the main square and serves fairly authentic Italian food.
Thought it was a little overpriced for what it was. They do not do a meal of the day which seemed a pity. We had lasagne and chicken rollatini both were well presented and tasted good.

We ordered two pizza's. The "house" pizza was not good at all. Covered in a greasy "basil oil" with not very nice ham. Undercooked as well and soggy in the middle. The chicken & pepper pizza was slightly better but there was not much chicken. The pizza's were expensive in comparison to other restaurants so no excuse for not delivering on quality from this "genuine Italian".

We did have a narrow escape. We were going to order "fancy" pastas on the menu. But the couple next to us had ordered what we were tempted with and were returning the food and were very unhappy. So we changed to a "safe" option.

Desert was edible but nothing special at all.

Would not recommend.

Read reviews before trying. Seemed to range from good to bad to indifferent. We shared a stuffed pepper starter which was quite a large portion and was good. Only wanted pasta for main course and when it arrived it didn't look much but the bowl was deceptive, it was tasty and actually plentiful. Shared a tiramisu which again was a large portion and was ok but not the best we've had. Service was ok although I think one waiter seemed to be confused if you tried out your Spanish as he brought a glass of wine instead of a bottle. All in all night was fine, the restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere. Possibly better to stick to standard Italian food if you try Casa Vila
