“4 day stay. Loudest fiesta ever!!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

My husband, 5 year old daughter and myself stayed at the hotel from the 23rd to 27th August.
We booked a side sea view room but didn't get one. Our room was nice, cleaned every day but the smell from the drains in the bathroom was unbearable!!
Saturday was lovely weather and we went to the beach which is 100m from hotel. Beach is fab as is the sea which is still v shallow quite far in so great for kids.
Saturday night was a 'fiesta' in the square which is 2 streets from the hotel. Music started at 11pm?!! And didn't finish till 5am!! Was like trying to sleep in a nightclub. Utterly ridiculous for a family resort. Unfortunately the weather was shocking Sunday/Monday which there is no control over but slightly ruined our stay.
Advise to check any 'fiestas' before booking!!

Room Tip: Try for partial sea view or full sea view room

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed in Puerto Pollensa and have always aspired to stay at Hotel Daina. We have just got back from staying there for a week and were not disappointed. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely, lots of choice at breakfast and dinner. Rooms very comfortable, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, iron and board, fan and or air conditioning, his and hers sinks! The list goes on and on!
The pool was such a bonus as it was nice to have the option of that or the beach. We never had a problem getting a sun bed.
My only negative was that we really wanted a sea view and requested one at the time of booking. We wasn't told you could pay more for one when we booked. The view we had was at the back of the hotel which was the buildings behind and the mountains- which was fine.
We we be returning to Hotel Daina as in my opinion it is probably the best hotel in Puerto Pollensa.

We have been to this hotel many times
As we like to
Be close to the beach, it's just out side the hotel at most 50 feet away
Excellent pool
Hotel really clean, wonderful food

We always go half board
Being O.A.P.s it's great not to much walking

The busses run very frequently , less than 100yards to the main stops for all busses
We are going back the 31st September 2013

Room Tip: All rooms are good here But the see view rooms are great

We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon. Arrived at hotel very impressed with its location- right in the middle of puerto pollensa near the beach and the port etc- everything in easy reach. Our room was nice- clean, quiet and bed nice and comfy. Breakfast was great with a large selection- it was lovely having food overlooking the beach. We were completely satisfied and happy and ready to book in again for next year ....UNTIL our last night (which was August 24th ) when an all night children's festival in the square took place and I mean ALL NIGHT - it's 3:45am right now and as I write this email & the festival is still going on. Pop Music is blasting out and there are people screaming in the street - our room is practically vibrating with the noise its absolutely horrendous!! And the reception has told me this could go on for another 3 hours !!!! Yes another 3 hours of blasting music and no chance of sleep until 7:30am!!! I'm actually god smacked that this is allowed to just go on and on with no concern for any residents or guests in hotels and although our stay in puerto pollensa up to now has been lovely this has really put me off booking back in to this hotel again . I therefore warn everyone to check and double check if there are any similar festivals when they book this hotel as unless you are completely deaf you will not get any rest if staying here all night long. It's a really bad end to our honeymoon unfortunately.

Room Tip: Check if there are any festivals as you won't get any sleep if any are going on !!!!

4 of us stayed in a newly refurbished apartment, very comfortable beds, 2 flat screen tv's (too busy to use), excellent shower, air conditioning worked a treat. Had nice modern feel and our 21 and 17 year old loved it. We were half board and the Hotel Daina and staff were excellent, food good quality and healthy, the Chef cooked meat/fish to order, having the choice of eating out on the terrace was a bonus, had stunning views over the bay and our pool. We all looked forward to our breakfasts, excellent choice of hot and cold buffet. I think the pool and cocktail bar were fab, we always managed to get 4 sunbeds together and it was kept spotless. The Lemon Lounge was the best place to hang out on an evening after dinner, great ambiance. I am pleased we stayed at this part of the resort, the pine walk was lovely on an evening and been right next to the marina was a plus. Would most certainly return here one day.

Room Tip: We have older children and I would recommend that if you stay in a one bedroomed apartment you must...

Stayed in this lovely hotel August 11-16th 2013, paid extra for a sea view which was well worth it.
Good food, staff, room and very convenient for all the restaurants and shops. Brilliant spanish guitar player one evening. Only drawback is it's right on the front so anyone taking a jetski out in harbour in the early morning will wake you - but that's a small price to pay
You still have to get up early to get a poolside lounger at 9am on the dot but they don't enforce time limits.
Breakfast is great, but you have to ask the waiter for coffee as he doesn't always notice you - alternative is the machine.
I'd stay here again - found a great delicatessen "Georg's" on the Carrer Juan XXIII main street just before you get to the Eroski supermarket. The town is lovely, street market on Wednesdays is great value and full of sounds, lovely smells and people trying to sell you stuff!

Room Tip: Sea views are worth paying for

Family of 5 in 2 rooms. Definitely worth the extra for full sea view, however side sea view also very good. good sized rooms, comfy beds and turn down service. good tv channels and minibar. very pleased indeed. Staff friendly and helpful. The pool was without doubt the big draw here and was fantastic, big, clean and warm. The sun loungers were plentiful we always got one at any time of day even though the policy of non reserving was not enforced. They were a bit old and all the support had gone and need replacing next season.

The pool bar was well priced but you couldnt put drinks on your room bill which was a shame and would had been really useful to do so. It does become a public bar at night but day time just hotel guests so no reason not too for day time. Nice little fishing platform next to bar which kept kids happy whilst parents enjoyed a drink!!.

Breakfast was ok but strangely the waiters wouldn't bring you coffee?? you had to get it from a machine, they would come around with hot water for tea. It would be a huge bonus to have a pot of hot coffee at the table to enjoy the fabulous view.

Great location in the middle of the port with all the restaurants, we ate out every night and lunch and didnt have a bad meal-really good value with great views.

The guitarist on wednesday was truly brilliant, get there early to book a place and relax with a jug of sangria.

On check out they kept our bags safe and gave us a room to shower in before leaving later in the day-This was a nice touch-Thank you guys.

Ensure to book robinson cat trip to round of a great stay

Room Tip: full sea view
