Just returned from 1 week all inclusive break taken 16th-23rd August 2011. The hotel is not located near the beach, we knew this from the brochure but I would seriously doubt it is 850 metres from it, takes a good 20 minutes or more to walk to port, good be an issue for some especially in 35' heat.

Hotel does run a free shuttle if you're all inclusive but doesn't drop near port.

Food was excellent, good variety the salad bar was superb, shame we never got paella!

Rooms were spacious & clean. Main bedroom had double bed, two sofa beds in main room, more comfortable than many I've seen.

Matt & Jenn excellent entertainment team a credit to them, kept children entertained

For those who may be interested bar sells Estrella Damm on tap not San Miguel.

Biggest let down was pool area, the main pool is very deep 1.7m shallow end, 2.6 metres deep end. Area round pool is treacherous tiles are not non slip. There were far too few sunbeds for the number of guests at the hotel, only about 80 in main area & that may be generous. Unless you're prepared to get up at 7:00 you're unlikely to get one & they do remove towels if beds are unoccupied, although it depends who is working on reception as to how strictly this is enforced.

There is a smaller pool the other side of the road which is more suitable for smaller children but there is no bar area or entertainment & even fewer sunbeds & little shade.

All in all OK hotel I'd say 3 star not 4 shame about lack of sunbeds, if it was nearer to beach this wouldn't be an issue, be prepared for an early start if you want one!

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday with our 2 boys aged 12 & 7. This is a fantastic hotel, ALL the staff are very polite and helpful. The hotel has great facilities and kept very clean. We stayed all inclusive and were glad we did as the food was delicious with good variety. The entertainment team Jenn and Matt are absolutely fantastic plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy and have a laugh with. The evening entertainment was also of great quality and very enjoyable. The hotel is in a lovely location with the mountains close by and a walk to the beach is only about 10 - 15 mins walk. We all made great friends and want to return next year (money permitting) Keep up the good work Duva. WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN. .

We travelled in July 2011 with 2 daughters (7 and 4). The holiday was a last-minute deal, booked only 3 weeks prior to travel. First impressions to be honest, weren't great. The hotel looked tired and our room had battered 70's furniture! Definitely NOT four star. However, it was clean enough (though plates, utensils etc definitely were NOT.) The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Puerto Pollensa-it is do-able, but part of the road I didn't feel was safe for our 2 girls and we generally took our hire car or a taxi (only 5 euros). We were self-catering and ate in the town every night, which was fine. We did go back however for the entertainment, which the girls LOVED! Matt and Jen, the entertainment team, were fantastic. Staff at reception were also good and very helpful. Our trip was in the height of school holidays and the towel-sunbed hoggers were out in force! (Brits I'm afraid.) We preferred the beach anyway and stayed there most days. We would definitely return to Puerto Pollensa-but not the Duva.

This was our 1st visit to the Duva with our 2 sons age 13 and 10. The hotel is immaculate and so is the food. The location is fab just 10 mins walk to the beach and 5 mins walk to large supermarket. The entertainment staff Jen and Matt are amazing and made our holiday special. My boys want to return next year and we have only just came back! We were on All Inclusive and it saved us a fortune as it was expensive everywhere else to eat out. `pollensa is a beautiful place and I am glad that the Duva is there as we will be returning next year. We met some fantastic people there who also want to return and that says it all. Hope Jen & Matt are still there too!! or it wont be the same.

I just wanted to say after staying for 2 weeks at the Duva..... WELL DONE TO ALL THE STAFF!! they work so hard to make everyones holiday the best they possibly can!! we was checked in by a fantastic lady in reception, very warm and friendly and even carried our bags to our room!!
after reading the previous 2 comments about the entertainment, i have to say i strongly disagree however it is each to their own but they tried their best to accomodate all tastes and TACKY it was not!!! infact we have stayed in some fabulous properties over the years and this one has been the best for all the family. I have to say the entertainers make this holiday extra special!!!
We stayed all inc and to be honest the food was fantastic, maybe a little bit more choice for snacks throughout the day but even the drinks was brill!!!
to conclude i feel this hotel is well worth a visit as my wife and I and my 3 children absolutly loved it!! We will be back!!!
