Having stayed in Puerto Pollensa before we knew the area where we wanted to stay. The Mar Calma is at the heart of the resort and very close to excellent restaurants and bars. Its also only a minute walk to the sea front.

We were allocated room 304 with views from the balcony towards the marina. Our room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast consisted of cereals, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses and also bacon and eggs cooked to your liking. The service at breakfast was excellent, as was the bar in the evening. We did not experience noise from the nearby bars during the night.

The nearest bus stop is a two minute walk through the square and behind the church on the next street, Busses can be caught here for Alcudia, Pollensa Palma and Formentor. Bus fares seem very reasonable.

When staying in Puerto Pollensa the Pine Walk is a must, beautiful scenery and plenty of bars to relax and enjoy.

We would like to thank all at Mar Calma for making our stay so delightful. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Room Tip: 304- views of marina, larger balcony

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of our travels to Majorca. Very central location so no need to go far to eat out or enjoy the the harbour walk. We traveled on the bus to old town Pollensa who was 3€ for us both each way.

Hotel clean and smart. Brilliant breakfast and staff very happy to assist in any requests. My wife was unwell and the young guy on reception rang to find a pharmacy open on a Sunday.

Our room is was overlooking some bars so it was a little bit noisy with people drinking and watching football but I guess that’s what you get when so Central.

Parking was a 5 minute walk to consider if you have heavy luggage. Best to drop cases and park up separate.

Welcome drink of cava most appreciated.

I would stay again.

Just returned from a great 5 night stay at the Mar Calma hotel. The location was fantastic , the rooms were both spacious enough and spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and the hotel has a great roof top terrace with hot tub. The cocktails in the bar were excellent and reasonably prices. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, i had room 206 which was perfect

What a find! Wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Port de Pollenca. Spacious rooms and modern decor. Delicious breakfasts served by delightful staff. Greatest praise goes to Carlos the Owner/Manager for exceptional help throughout our stay particularly when our Airline Company collapsed - his kindly assistance was invaluable. We will return.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter.

Good;
Location - right on the edge of the square and a minutes walk to the port
Modern and clean
Welcome drink on arrival
Helpful staff
Breakfast - plentiful and the waiter (Jairo?) was brilliant and very friendly.

Bad;
Noisy - partly by being so near to bars/restaurants but within the hotel itself we were woken up every morning about 6am by banging doors etc. downstairs from the kitchen. We were on the first floor (room 101) which was an inner room but was almost above the dining area/kitchen. Also, you can hear other guests moving about, a lot of other reviewers have commented on the noise although some have said it wasn't a problem - however, it is noisy!

Room;
Our room was small, cramped and dark - the view from our window was a wall. We had contemplated booking a room with a balcony but decided not to pay the extra as we don't spend much time in the room. However, it was such a depressing room I would definitely pay the extra if I ever stayed again. There were only two tiny drawers to put your clothes in (aside from the wardrobe). The beds were quite hard. The towels were thin and scratchy. The key card to our room didn't work which we were told about on arrival so were given a key, this wasn't a problem but there was no attempt to try and fix it and apparently the previous guests had the same problem.

Overall in my opinion this is only a 3* hotel and although there are some good points, I have stayed in 4* hotels which are far superior to this one. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay again.

Room Tip: I would suspect the top floor would be less noisy but can't be sure.
