Stayed 1st floor 1 bed, 1 bath/shower, fold out bed in lounge/diner area.
Air con , modern fittings. Only item missing a full length mirror (found it in cupboard door!).
Cleaned every day.
Lovely pool, much better than hotel pool as set in garden with tennis court.
Hire of court and rackets from hotel. Also bike hire if you're active.

Walk across road to hotel where you can use free internet corner, lounge area overlooking sea.
Entertainment at night by sea was pleasant.

15 min stroll along sea front to town.
did not eat at hotel, plenty of choice in town. Hotel food a bit upmarket for us!

Room Tip: all rooms overlook pool so quite pleasant. Some noise at road end from traffic and staff, but tolera...

Had a lovely time at half term at the Illa D'Or. Apartment nicely furnished, normally we rent villa's / cottages so felt a bit small at first, but there was plenty of storage, with a daily cleaner and plenty of sunshine it was all the space we needed. The facilities are great, fab pools and we met a lot of nice their. The location of the hotel is perfect, lovely place to relax by the sea and for a evening stroll before dinner. Staff were really great resolving a couple of minor issues straight away and when my daughter left her teddy they posted it to us immediately no questions asked. We would not hesitate to go back again.

We booked this holiday through a local travel agent so we are eternally grateful for them; mightn’t have found this gem otherwise.

Setting: At far end of pine walk, the quiet end.Perectly situated for a great evening walk along to the harbour/port area. Good local supermarkets

Room:
Kitchen area: small but functional, well appointed
Dining area: great to have one at all!
Bedroom: as everything, very modern, air-con, quiet, lush
Bathroom: very impressive, BIG shower cubicle AND a bath and double sink area!
Terrace: fine
All in all, every inch utilised to the max, ideal for two but would be a struggle with a couple of kids. Cleaners: great. Fresh towels whenever you want

Pool: The pool itself was a lovely area, good temperature, lovely gardens surrounding, no pool bar but close to the apartments so not a problem. The sunbeds were the only disappointing thing about the venue – a tad old and uncomfortable though the manager has since said they will be replaced. A strange thing was someone from the hotel coming over to the apartment pool area and locking the umbrella shades without consultation but hey, whatever… Oh and they have great tennis courts if you are that way inclined

Bar – G&T Corner:
Bar staff: all great though the main guy we saw was Tony. Hubby LOVED the chicken toasted sandwich, really good food, worth a try.
Great place to have a drink at any time of day, great views of sea, good for a snifter

OVERALL:
Peace and tranquillity. No noise at night, no groups, good choice of places to go though not on the doorstep. We’d never been to Majorca but this place makes us want to visit again.

This hotel was always on our 'to-do' list as we had passed by so many times on previous visits to Mallorca and the lovely Pine Walk.....we travelled for the first time without the excess baggage as they had headed off to Zante and Malia, so this place was ideal for us to have our first kid free holiday in over 20years.....when we reviewed the Hotel we found the Apartments which adjoined same and when we took a closer look we decided these offered us the best of both worlds...beautiful location and the choice to be self sufficient when we wanted to....the apartments are extremely well appointed and can comfortably accommodate a family of four and when it all becomes too much for you the Hotel is a short stroll across the way...
The entire staff compliment are an asset to this hotel and a testament to the values of the owners and the way in which this property has been patroned over the years.
This is a jewel in the crown of Mallorca and will have you returning again and again like so many of the wonderful patrons we had the privilege of spending time with in the apartments, the terrace bar and the main Hotel....I know we will be returning to sample the delights of this wonderfully individually Hotel and Apartments in the not too distant future

Room Tip: All apartment rooms overlook the beautiful gardens and private pool area....shoudl you choose to sta...

4 adults stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. 2 of us on the sofa bed. Not a lot of space but the room was clean, modern and had a basic kitchen that we never used but nice to have a good fridge!

You have all the facilities of the hotel for use but you never see staff at the apartments, just the cleaners. I wouldn't say you felt like 2nd class citizens like another reviewer said. The service we received was always helpful and excellent.

We only ate breakfast at the buffet which was fine but I have the mention the gin and tonic bar. Lovely. By the sea, huge choice of gins. As a Gin Tonic guy this was a standout place for me. This alone would make me come back! :)

The apartment pool was nice and WAY nicer than the hotel one which is small and cramped.

Would I come back? Yes, the walk into town along the pine walk in about 10-15 minutes and beautiful but there were times I wish we were a little bit closer like the Sis Pins hotel. Maybe try that next!

Spent 4 nights in the Illa d'Or in Port de Pollenca, Mallorca. This is a lovely venue. I cannot comment as to the hotel rooms as we stayed in one of the apartments which is located in another building separate to the main building seen in most of the pictures. There were four of us sharing an apartment which we knew would be 'cosy' but its a good thing we're family because there is very little privacy when sharing one of these 1 bed apartments. While it does make it an affordable option for staying in a 5 star resort, the apartments are definitely more suited to a couple. Even then, the bathroom doors are glass and dont 'seal the room' so to speak so there is not much you can do in the bathroom that anyone else in the apartment wont know about.

The apartment building has its own pool and tennis court which is nice, a nice retreat from the front if you need it but lets be honest here, the main draw card is that spectacular frontage to the bay. This hotel is a good 15 minute walk around the bay to the heart of Port de Pollenca which is where all of the restaurants, shops etc are. But the walk is just stunning, called the Pine Walk because of the beautiful trees that line it and literally grow out of the walk. And you're not totally stranded or anything like that, the Illa d'Or has a couple of well stocked supermarkets within a minute or two walking.

To sit out on that front terrace of the Illa d'Or is what this place is all about. The aptly named 'Gin Corner' serves up a plethora of Gin's (as does a lot of the Port area we discovered but these guys seemed to do it the best!) which you can happily enjoy as you watch people stroll along the Pine walk on one side of you, and the gorgeous view of the bay on the other. There isnt much in the way of 'play area' for kids but i am sure that wouldn't stop them. The beach here is very shallow which is a bit of a bummer and a bit weedy to be honest but, take a seat in the shade, grab a drink and i dont think a single thing, not even the bathroom noises you my have just encountered will bother you in the slightest.

I'm a huge Hendricks & Tonic with cucumber fan but i can highly recommend the 'Ish' served with Strawberries and tonic! Let it rest though, drink it to fast and the strawberries wont have time to do their thing and once they do, you'll know what you're there.

We were recommended these appartments by friends who had been a couple of years ago. The appartments had just been refurbished and were clean. The situation is nice and sits across the quiet road from the Illa Dor hotel. The appartments and grounds with pool were fine. The hotel staff didn't seem to give much attention to the guests staying in their appartments instead we we almost felt like 2nd class citizens when in the hotel or it's bar. Other than that the appartments are in a very quiet part of town which was very pleasant. The town was just a 20 minute walk away along the sea front away from the traffic.
