This used to be one of the top restaurants with a great atmosphere too. After a tough spell they are getting back to basics with good, fresh well cooked food. The bar is great for meeting people,

Just returned from a family trip to Pollensa and a stay in a Villa - Villa Carlota. The villa boasts the option of having fresh prepared BBQ food delivered to the door with or without a chef to cook for you, sounded super, pricy but super! The service is provided by Ivy Garden. We Ordered the food for my wife's birthday and we were told it would be delivered to the villa the following evening at 7pm. We waited, and waited, and called Ivy Garden numerous times but no answer and no food! A trip to the local supermarket then, thanks very much Ivy Garden....poor service to say the least!

like previous reviews before, I had been here in the past, last time when single and wanted to take my new husband with me for a romantic night out. Seemed to start out ok, the owner was friendly and offered a drink but then disappeared and left to be sorted out by a disinterested waitress (see previous reviews as this summed it up). No wine list only red, white, rose (waitress didn't seem to know what cava was) and menu was just a few choices on a chalk board and this was set so quite poor. I choose a starter of bacon, avocado and tomato which came out a soggy black mess, avocado was black and the rest was something of nothing. Had a chicken main course which was better but nothing tex mex couldn't do down the road for cheaper. My husband had prawns, ok and steak also ok. When we finally got our cava after the waitress went off for ages to work out if they did, it came back in an orange bucket with a crack so my husband got soaked, again waitress looked perplexed so we had to ask for tissues and another container, didn't offer to help to get rid of the flood herself, just stood there looking????. to recap the waitress had no idea about anything on the menu was disinterested if you asked for anything and loudly mucked around with the kitchen staff while ignoring the other guests mainly us any another couple. The highlight of this expensive but surreal evening was hearing the other diners talking about how bad this was. Place was dead for obvious reasons, only wished I hadn't booked this for our last night what a disappointing end to a great holiday in a lovely resort.

Having visited Puerto Pollensa several times in the past, the Ivy Garden has been a "must" for each holiday. We have always had wonderful meals in very pleasant surroundings. This year we decided to make our regular trip there as it was the birthday of one of our party and we therefore wanted to make a special occasion of the evening..... However, this restaurant has clearly changed hands since we were last there, as everything about it had gone downhill drastically.
The food was the main problem - having always ordered off an a la carte menu, we were faced with a set price chalk board. This could have been fine, but the chicken liver and the calamari starters were overdone. They had run out of one of the mains on the board but left it on the board for the next table to see as well. There was no soy and ginger in the overdone "soy and ginger" pork! The key lime pie had no taste of lime whatsoever. The food lacked any kind of imagination.
When the waitress asked if everything was ok, we politely said that we were disappointed that the pork didn't taste of soy or ginger and she proceeded to voice this back in a loud voice through the serving hatch. The attitude of the waitress was generally very unprofessional.
We will not be visiting this restaurant again.
