On the way to Tripurasundari temple a wildlife area. it is a zoo. And has a long walk through it. Zoo is not that great, so so. Walk relaxes you. At other end when you come out is the parking area.

Some 30/ 40 KM from Agartala. It is colsed on Friday. We went on Sunday. It was open. There is ticket system. Rs 20/ each and Rs 10/ for still camera. Again I had to pay for ticket for going inside the Zoological park also. The speciality of Sipahijala is 1) Clouded leopard & 2) rare Spectacled langur. Of couse we saw 1) crocodile, 2) 1 Rhino,3) two Royal tigers,4) 4 nos Asian Black Bears 5) one Martin (Civet kind) 6) Black Bucks 7)Sambar 8) Python 9) Monitor Lizard and many

“Siphahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, Agartala”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013

It is a big forest with various types of trees. The question of wildlife that exists nothing but a zoo with little species of interest except spectacled monkey. The upkeep of animals are poor and tourist don't get any interest in those few animals in cages. The place is mostly used by locals as picnic spot. To enter the forest there is an entry fee of Rs.10/- and again to see animals you are required to any similar sum which is nothing but waste of money. There are no wildlife in the forest, the greenery of which is fasinating. I do not know why it is called wildlife sanctuary.

“Wildlife sanctuary”

Very badly maintained. Practically no animals. The much famed clouded leopard is hardly visible thru the several barricades in the cages. The greenery is nice.
