We really enjoyed our visit to Samos in late October. The island exceeded our expectations, but want the time to give a review of the place we were staying at, "Aphrodite Hotel & Suites" , The place was wonderful and the staff was exceptional!! They were always there to give any helpful information on touring the island. The room was also very clean.
Having breakfast sitting beside the pool on a beautiful sunny day, you miss that here in Canada in November,

Staff was warm, kind, and friendly. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The location is far from the ports but tranquil neighbourhood. The beach is across the road but easy to reach by walking. The hotel has strict refund policy, but they were very helpful for the next visit.

We visited Votsalakia in early Juli '16 and stayed at Aphrodite. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and gave us practical information about places to go and things to see to facilitate our stay. It was suitable for both couples and family. The hotel has it's own parking lot in the north side in case you would like to rent a car - which is encouraged if you want to explore other towns like Manolates, Minos Stavros, and Kokkari.
