We recently stated stayed at …… Marpissa.from 21/6/16 - 28/6/16. Apparently we were the first guests since Manolis, the owner advertised his property on Airbnb and Booking.com. The property is just 500 yards from the shops at Marpissa but is off the main street and set well apart so you have the most amazing views of Naxos in the distance and the Aegian sea and in the fore ground the pretty little port of Piso Levadi . The villa is perfectly situated, wonderful views and very private.
You approach the property along a rough track and park in the space provided. It is a classic Greek, white villa built only ten years ago. It has everything you would expect, a lovely living room kitchen diner, air con throughout and broad band. Outside the gardens have been beautifully landscaped, there is a fabulous range of flowering plants, screening various areas for privacy.
In addition there is a fabulous pool, which was spotlessly clean and had an infinity edge which almost made you feel like you were swimming in the sea.
The villa is beautifully furnished and has all new modcons, big fridge freezer, brand new washing machine, dish washer, coffee machine etc.
There is a lovely shaded area at the back of the house, perfect for breakfast, and as the sun shifts around to the back of the house, so you can move to the pool or sun loungers and admire the view at the front. At the back there is also a purpose built Greek BBQ tucked in amongst the flowers.
Piso Levadi is just 5 minutes away, a really charming little harbour, surrounded by restaurants, the best of which are Halaris and Markakis, next to each other,, fabulous fresh fish, huge starters , we invariably ordered too much; a cute little beach and a small cliff side. To the right of Piso Livadi as you look out to sea, is the beach at Langorus, sit on the sun loungers, order drinks from the hotel staff and swim in the warm water.
Manolis was a mine of information, nothing was too much trouble. He only advertises at present on Airbnb and Booking.com contact him direct and you will get a 10% discount off their advertised prices. If you holiday here you won’t regret it but don't forget your sunscreen, we saw one cloud all week, but fortunately for us Brits there is always a relieving sea breeze.
What a fabulous location for a truly relaxing holiday.
It's a unique, quiet place perfect for relaxation. Beautiful view and warm, Greek hospitality. A real diamond in Paros. Can't wait to go there again!
