These are a pair of identical villas just outside the village of Platanos, which are completely screened from each other. When we arrived, the villa, pool and terrace area were spotlessly clean and the owner was there to welcome us, explain how the gate worked and pour us a glass of raki. The villa is well-equipped - pots, pans, plates, first aid kit, sewing kit, washing machine, wifi. We arrived to find fresh fruit and cakes on the table, and a few basics like milk in the fridge. You can eat either inside at the kitchen table, or outside in the shade near the pool. The pool is very well-maintained, mercifully low on chlorine, and you can pull yourself out of it at dusk to see the sun setting over the sea.
It's an easy walk from the villa into the village, which has a couple of tavernas and a few small supermarkets (bread, batteries, milk, cheese etc etc etc) and a short drive to the beach at Falasarna. Kissamos is 10-15 minutes away by car.
Vasilis, the owner of the villa, speaks good English and is very helpful, cheerful and friendly. He set us up a couple of excursions which were amongst the high points of the holiday.
