Reviewed July 20, 2012

We stayed at one of the three villas, making up Anemon Villas, for one week in July 2012.
Our expectations, based on the pictures of the villa and an earlier trip to Crete, were quite high, and we were not dissapointed.

The villas are located slightly up from the hillside, so you have the full view of the bay between the Gramvoussa and Rodopou peninsulas, the city of Kissamos and the surrrounding olivefields and mountains. That makes up for a splendid view at any time of the day/night.
There is around 1 km to the beach, where you besides doing regular beach stuff, can eat at some of the local tavernas. Especially the taverna Mithimna at the Mithimna camping site is really good.
Around 2-3 km in the opposite direction of the beach lies a winery where you can buy wines, oliveoil, raki amongst other things.
The city of Kissamos lies 6-7km further to the west.
The area is not as "tourist heavy" as Chania or Platanias. So if you appreciate a more local atmosphere (though it is still a turistarea) than the big "turist cities", then this area will suit you.

The villa itself were of a really high standard. It consist of a big livingroom/family kitchen from where you can access the terrace and the pool area. Next to the kitchen lies a beautiful bathroom.
From the livingroom you can access the "sleeping area" through a hallway which goes over the pool. The floor in the hallway is made of glass, so you will be able to look straight into the pool from inside the hallway.
The "sleeping area" consists of two bedrooms, each with its own piece of terrace, and a big bathroom.
In the basement there's a third bedroom with its own bathroom, a small room with a washing maching, aswell as a room which could be categorized as a small livingroom(ish).
Every room has AC.

Last but not least the service and friendliness we were giving by the owners, were top notch.

All in all we had a very pleasant trip to Crete. The people, the food and the surroundings always makes it a pleasure to stay on the island, and our stay at the Anemon Villas just made the vacation one of our best.

We can nothing but recommend this place.
