We were delighted when we walked up to this beauty of a hotel with its beautiful flowers inside and out and lovely pool which we didn't have time to swim in. We were 4 people staying in a small room with an older bathroom, but the price was very reasonable and we would stay there again. The owner was very nice and is pouring a lot of work into the hotel as he purchased it only about a year ago, I believe.

We have been going to San Felui on and off for years - for full holidays - and were always intrigued by the quirkiness of this 'castle-like' hotel whenever we passed by, so we booked for 3 nights, off-season (turns out it was the day after it re-opened!). Once you get inside the grounds we were first impressed by the well-kept gardens, and the pool. Inside the wonders just kept coming! Well decorated, in keeping with the facade. Some great furniture and paintings (including the photos and awards for a restaurant that must have been there in the 70s/80s in the games room). The bar was well stocked, the restaurant spacious - and opening into the nice gardens - and the 'all you can eat' buffet breakfast was great even for veggies like me! We were stuffed and ready for a lot of climbing to San Feliu and San Pol! Talking of which - this hotel is perfectly situated at the top of the hill between both town (about 15 minute walk) and Sant Pol beach (5 minutes). The rooms were a bit 70s, basic - and quite chilly due to the traditional tiling everywhere - but very clean and tidy. The shower worked a treat too - to warm you up! Contrary to some reviews here - the hotel staff were absolutely great and catered for every need, even rushing out of the hotel armed with cushions when we decided to sit in the garden. We couldn't fault it. Probably not the kind of place we would want to spend 2 whole weeks, but for the mini-break it totally out-stripped our expectations! In summary - a 3-star hotel, with 4-star facilities - and 5-star service, and great value to boot!

Unique rooms very close to the beach of Sant Pol. A 10 minutes walk to the center of Sant Feliu de Guixols. The breakfast can be improved, still very good value for money. The swimming pool in the garden gives you the possibility to relax.

We stayed here begin September 2017 and the welcome was not what I would call "how friendly and welcoming"! Here is the key and please fill this in and of course is your car in our parking? Bad day of the lady behind the desk I thought but after 3 nights I got convinced that there were more "bad days", once entered in the room it seemed that the whole team had a bad day! Dirty bathroom, dust on many places, lovely long dark hairs from previous lodgers, a bathroom bin with some strange dark brown coulour, towels with serious holes, etc..... The bed itself just OK only a couple of blankets from the last century.
Breakfast was acceptable but poor woman who was working on her own, how egoistic from the "management" to leave her alone on such a busy day, on the Catalan National Day, so service very mediocre, dirty tables and chairs, queues at the brown liquid machine ( read coffee for some), the selection at BKF was overall fine for a 3 star hotel.
The garden and pool were well maintained but the hotel itself lacked a lot of attention and love, the fact that the furnishing is extremely old fashioned does not even matter to this experience. Never anymore.

Room tip: Nothing that tempt me to advise anyone.

What a fantastic little Hotel. Beautiful gardens and a most stunning building. We checked in easily. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. Our Room was clean and spacious. The Aircon worked a treat. Bathroom was lovely with clean towels daily. Breakfast was fab, lots to choose from and totally relaxed. Such a lovely atmosphere. The pool is lovely too with ample loungers .
As a couple in our 40's we love to Run and found that the hotel is right in the middle of fantastic paths and trails, full of Runners walkers and Cyclists.
We had 4 lovely days here.
This Hotel is basic but clean and Friendly. 10
Minute walk into Sant Feliu and 10min to Sagaro beach.
Will definitely return
