This hotel has a small gymnasium and dance studio.

The staff provide a good variety of fitness classes. They are friendly, highly skilled and willing to give individual exercises and instruction.

The gym is equipped with a variety of machines and free weights. Some of the machines need to be replaced.

The changing rooms are adequate but the water in the showers can be cold.

We had booked a five day stay here, but unfortunately our Vueling flight to Barcelona was cancelled, which meant our original five day holiday was reduced to three.

We arrived at 04:10 on a Friday morning, tired out. At no time during our reduced stay did the reception or hotel manager offer any kind of recompense, such as a bottle of wine with dinner, nor even speak to us about this reduction in days. We'd paid for five days at this hotel and received just three days. Yes, I know the flight cancellation wasn't their responsibility, but you would expect some acknowledgement of this. They'd received our money and after that they didn't care!

Speaking of those on reception, they are truly inadequate as their English is very limited. They come across as so indifferent - you're just a number in this place. They seem so disinclined to raise their sight above their computer screen.

Now to the hotel itself, I'll itemise this part:

1) It's located up a hill outside the town, so after dinner is finished, and you've had a couple of glasses of wine, you can't drive to the town center for some liveliness. And believe me, you'd need to go to the centre of Sant Feliu as the hotel is dead in the evening. There is no activity whatsoever, apart from a large television screenin an empty room which receives no British channels such as BBC World News or Sky News, as in most four star hotels
The channels are 99% Spanish - I found one French channel.

2) The beds (mattresses) are cheap and uncomfortable, those with widely spaced springs which you see at the bottom end of the market.

3) It's the hotel policy that guests should not wear their white bathrobes in the dining rooms, but this isn't enforced. You make an effort to dress for dinner, yet some can't be bothered and spoil the occasion. The hotel reception staff once again can't be bothered to enforce this.

4) One positive feature is a blonde waitress called Meiki who was cheerful and helpful - an attitude those on reception would do well to copy. However, the menu at dinner is quite limited and didn't change at all during our (reduced) three day stay.

In summary, this hotel is nowhere near the standard of the lovely four star hotels we've booked through Voyage Prive. And I paid £560 for this three day stay!

Customer service rating is zero. It's one to avoid.

Room tip: If you must book here in spite of my review, choose a room with a view of the sea.

This hotel is not flash, it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. It's our second stay, we flip between this hotel and the Eden Roc. The rooms are better here, they aren't perfect but they are good. The staff here are fantastic and the restaurant staff are exceptional, the restaurant manager was particularly good this evening. It's very well situated and the pool area is excellent there is alway room, not too many children and the majority of the clientele are French so it has a calmness about it. The food on the restaurant is very good, nothing flash but just well cooked. I would definitely return with girlfriends as a spa weekend as it isn't a beauty spa but a health spa, and they really try hard. Thanks m you for a great stay

We stayed there for two nights and the overall opinion is satisfactory. The room was simple but clean and comfortable. The only letdown is that there wasn't a balcony so it was impossible for us to dry our swimming things.

The 'water area' was fine but don't expect a real spa zone. The breakfast was correct: good quality food but not too much variety.

The staff are all very attentive, helpful and friendly.

It's not a flash or overly modern hotel but it's amazing value for money with good old fashioned customer service and care. We booked into this hotel as a weekend away as we live only an hour away but love the Costa Brava. The hotel isn't in the center of Sant Felui but in a quiet residential area just a lovely 5 minute stroll. The breakfasts are super relaxed and the lunches were a healthy buffet complimentary water in your room just lovely.
