We stayed 3 nights in a ground floor garden room with sea view and the sound of crashing waves outside. This is an odd hotel to review. It is a cluster of relatively new and old buildings/corridors/levels that make getting about it quite difficult. It sits on a large acerage on a rugged peninsula well out of the town, so a car trip is needed into town for dinner/lunch/beach/shops etc.
Its isolation is a plus if what you want is to stay on site and enjoy outdoor and indoor pools, sunbathe, gardens, relax etc. You can have B&B, half or full board.
If however you prefer to enjoy the attractive town and beach of St Feliu, or even better the beach, restaurants and coastal walks at Sant Pol next door, then you may be better advised to stay at Sant Pol or S'Agaro. Car parking at the hotel is free but we found it tough to park closeby on the streets.
Perhaps we were unfortunate to coincide with a big Conference, which apparently are many through the year here. Their numbers dominated the dining room at breakfast, and the bar early and late evening. Not my ideal for fellow hotel guests! Too corporate a feel about the hotel for my liking.
We paid €94 B&B which one could argue was good value for the location and facilities on site; but it is overall a bit tired and impersonal a place; and getting around it drove me nuts at times. Finding the dining room for breakfast, for example, involved going through an underground tunnel poorly lit with disrepair evident en route. Although, having found it, the breakfast was as good as one could fdind anywhere!
A strange place, visited one, but we will not be returning. There are better options nearby for what we want to do!

we had reserved a twin room with garden view and when asking for a room with sea view we were given a nice double room with an amazing sea view in a little bungalow right next to the sea! the hotel is not one of those huge ugly complexes, it consists of various smaller buildings and a huge garden with a nice pool right next to the sea. it was not really cheap but worth it! recommendable!

in July 2006, we were on a trip through spain and decided day-by-day where to stay over night - so our visit at the Eden Roq in Saint Feliu was more an incident than anything else.

Since we knew that they'd got at least one free room for 2 nights, we decided to go and decide right there if it's the right place for us.

Well, good things first:
The hotel is situated at a very nice place, maybe 2 kiometers outside of Saint Feliu, on top of a hill. You don't have a sandy beach in front of your room, but maybe you don't like that anyway.
2 pools invite you to go there for a swim, unfortunately only one pool contained water (strange, since it was July...).

The gril at the recpetion desk was very friendly, showed us some rooms and answered our questions. We got a room with sea view for 245 Euros (for 2 nights), breakfast incl. SInce it was 11am, our room wasn't ready yet, so we decided to have a look the area first and come back later in the afternoon to check-in.

Now to the bad points:

We had to pay an extra fee for air conditioning, 5 Euros p. Person p. night, so an additional cost of 20 Euros

Right after checking in we learned that the hotel eden roq doesn't offer any towels to their customers by default. After calling the reception and asking for some towels, they told me to pick-up one at the reception. Well I had got plenty of time, so I went there and got one. They even promised me to provide some more towels later in the afternoon.

Later we wanted to watch tv an use the air condition, but no remote controls were available. So I went back to the reception desk. They charged a deposit for the TV IR...
Unfortunately both IR controls didn't work, so I called the reception desk and they told me to come back and try some other IR controls

Of course no towels were in the room (as they'd promised before)..

Finally, after some discussions and angry phone calls to the reception desk, all problems were solved and we were happy to have our infrastructure ready and working.

During our stay, we found out more things:

- It's not allowed to stay in the pool after 7pm (strange security restrictions...?)
- Pool bar was nice, but no waiter and no drinks unfortunately
- Staff was really unfriendly
- Quality of the breakfast was quite cheap, it seemed to come right from one of the cheap supermarkets in the town
- Breakfast is from 8 to 10. No chance to get some food after 10. The start removing all stuff *exactly" at 10.
- Not enough parking places for all the guests. It always was tricky to find a place not to far away from the hotel
- Infrastructure in the bathroom was quite old, some things were broken.
-...

No hotel manager was available to address our problems.

After all, we were happy that we booked the hotel for only 2 nights. I've seen many hotels, but no one was like this one.

We talked to other guests, they also were quire unhappy with the staff, the quality and the extra fees.

I will never ever go back to this hotel !!!!

We were one night in this place, the situation is really good but we have find our bathroom with hairs from the latest visitors and there's not TV remote control in the room.
The installations are old and there's no bar in the middle of the swimming pool, the jacuzzi have not enough water and the color is suspect and it's open only one hour per day.
There's no parking place.
We were disapointed for the prestation by comparison with the expensive price.
