“Best Hotel Receptionist in the World Ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2011

This was an extremely charming , elegant hotel with beautiful rooms in an old restored house . The receptionist Alejandra was extremely helpful and welcoming with very very good english . She went out of her way to be extremely kind to a very weary traveller . Would highly recommend a stay here if you are on your way to see the stunning Copper Canyon .

We stayed 2 nights at the end of our Copper Canyon trip and were very impressed. It is a small yet well appointed hotel within walking distance to the main sights. The hotel staff were not intrusive but very helpful whenever we had questions.

This is an old house, beautifully and thoughtfully converted into b&b accommodation. Rooms are centred around a small courtyard and furnished with antiques and unusual pieces. There is an honesty bar and breakfasts are made in front of you by the welcoming and friendly staff. The hospitality could not be better.

The property's age does make it subject to a couple of quirks - the room we stayed in was subject to both sound and light pollution although the latter could easily be fixed by a blackout screen on the window. The noise from other guests leaving the hotel early was audible through the thin walls. But this was a small price to pay for the unique accommodation. In all, the hotel offers a charming alternative to the anonymous chain hotels elsewhere in the city. A lovely experience.

This little boutique hotel is charming and lovely. The staff made my husband and I feel very welcome right away. The rooms are all comfortably and elegantly decorated with a main theme color. A real treat! We hightly recommend it!

At the outset I should point out we arrived here late in the afternoon at left for the airport next day at 6.30am so its difficult to give a really fair impression and anything said must be judge in that context.

The hotel was quite charming set with the rooms set around a beautiful courtyard. The Lady at reception when we arrive spoke perfect Englishand was very helpful. Our room comfortable and well furnished as was the ensuite.

However our problem started when we tried to get a shower the plumbing was beyond us we found no way to overcome the variability of the hot water supply and that was the same experience the couple travelling with us and staying in an adjoining room had. Very frustrating on ahot humid day after a six hour drive.

In mitigation we left to early to experience the famed breakfasts lauded by many in the visitors book.

I very nice find. One of the best places on the recent trip. Owner is Valenciano (Spanish); very welcoming. Very good location, a short walk to the city center.
Beattiful restoration/conversion into a small B&B. Neat decoration with semi-antiques. Some of the original tile floors remain. Our room even had a small library, albeit in Spanish. Interesting to read Hamlet, in my limited Spanish.
