“Interesting museum in downtown”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Downtown Chihuahua is a beautiful place and very appealing to visit because despite the intense activity of offices and local businesses in the area it's calm and enjoyable to walk around visiting beautiful buildings such as the Museo Casa Chihuahua. Not to be missed is the cell where Miguel Hidalgo, the hero of Mexico's independence, was kept before being shot in Palacio de Gobierno (the place can also be visited across from the museum and the building is very beautiful too).
Casa Chihuahua has also some very interesting displays from Mexico's and Chihuahua's history.

“Many excellent museums in Chihuahua!”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

Most visitors from north of the border bypass Chihuahua when visiting the Copper Canyon but that is a mistake. This is a vibrant city with several exceptional museums, of which Casa Chihuahua with its displays on local history and culture is one. Note that the Governor's Palace just across the street in not only also well worth a visit -- it is full of extraordinary murals and gives out a very well-written guide to them in English -- but also includes an extremely helpful tourist information office with English-speaking staff.
