My daughter and I couldn't have been happier with our choice of Arroyo De la Grada. It was a most relaxing place to stay with beautiful views from our spacious room and terrace. Julie was the perfect host giving us great directions for our walk and organising a masseur to come to the B & B for us! The room was comfortable and warm and quiet. I love the decor and handy kitchen for our use. Breakfast was also great . We were sorry we couldn't stay longer!

This is really the best B&B I have ever stayed at. Run by a friendly Dutch couple (who completely rebuilt and decorated the house) this B&B has spacious rooms, a kitchen and probably the best terrace in the village.

Ideal location as a starting point for outdoor activities: mountainbiking, hiking, skiing etc

My husband and I were extremely happy with this B&B. Our room was enormous, as was the bathroom; and everything was impeccably clean. We had access to a terrace which looked out toward the mountains and the embalse (lake or reservoir). The little town of Güéjar Sierra is charming, if you like peace & quiet, authenticity, fantastic mountain air. We stayed for four nights. The place feels very, very safe; and the proprietess, Julie, is pleasant & helpful and speaks totally fluent English (as well as Dutch, her native language, and Spanish).

I would highly recommend this B&B for people who have a contemplative bent or who like to hike and enjoy the outdoors or who just like to sit on a lovely terrace and read and soak in the views. I would definitely recommend a car both to get to this B&B and for making day trips further afield! However, once at the Casa, there are many hikes one can do straight from the front door; and in warm weather, there is swimming at the confluence of the Genil and the Maitena rivers. I went swimming there on October 19th on a sunny day with daytime temperature of about 70, and can report by this time in October, the rivers are VERY cold! I probably stayed in the water less than 5 minutes.

I also highly recommend La Hacilla Restaurant in town, reasonably priced, with fantastic food and a host who is super-amable!

We staed here two nights and had our car broken. The owner was very apprehensive for us coming very late in the night because of the car. There are some four rooms, a breakfast room, a small shared kitchen and a terrace. The room was spacious and very nice, we also used the terrace a lot and sunbathed there. The kitchen is well equiped also with some drinks you can take and pay later and some basic food. The breakfast is home made, delicious and there is plenty for everybody. There is a nice view of a big lake from the terrace and the village is also nice to walk through.Good base for trekking.

We stayed for two nights and it was really great. Julie gave us lots of information about hiking (which is why we visited the area). After a hot day climbing hills we came back for a hot shower and a cold beer on the terrace, which had wonderful views. The whole house has been beautifully renovated and it has everything you could want for a comfortable stay.
