“Fantastic holiday for kids!”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

We have just come back from a week at this hotel, which was absolutely brilliant, all staff was polite, rooms where cleaned everyday, fresh towels etc! Food was to a good standard, and enjoyed! The entertainment was really good! My 3 year old loved it, koo koo Kirsty, fab faye and cheeky Chelsea have been the best I've seen! And made it fun for all ages including adults! The resort itself is small but very beautiful, the beaches are gorgeous, fish swim around your feet, do beware of the jellyfish as a few people had been stung while we where there! Zulu bar which is to the left of the resort has gorgeous food for and evening meal! Food prices can be pricey in the resort! We went on two trips, the pirate boat which we traveled from San Antonio to another beautiful beach, had a pirate hunt for children and the pirate tour guide was brilliant and entertaining, we also done the trinkets and treasure, it was ok, but was disappointed as the trip consists of taking you to Ibiza town which is really nice but you only have an hour, which isn't long enough at all and you find yourself clock watching instead of enjoying it, then we went to a hippy market, which was a nice experience but we had nearly two hours here and we had been round the market in 20mins, so wouldn't recommend this trip, but would deffinately recommend a day at Ibiza town! This hotel is for family's so if your looking for a quiet adult holiday it's probably not for you! But does cater with adult only areas! Brilliant staff, clean hotel, but rooms are on the small side, but deffo good for the price we paid!!!

We arrived 7th September excited for my 20 month old to have a fun week at a child friendly hotel, what we ended up with was far from that. My son began vomiting suddenly on the evening of the 9th September and after calling the doctor out twice(€140 each time) we were sent to hospital in an ambulance(€140 charge) on the evening of the 10th. The hotel or Thompson reps didn't contact me once to check on my son or ask if we needed any help during our 4 days in hospital. I eventually got hold of a Thompsons rep at the hotel on day 3 in the hospital and still there was no concern for my son or offer of help. I repeatedly asked that other guests be warned about the risk to their children but was told they didn't want to cause pandemonium or have a lot of questions at their desk. By the time we were discharged from hospital and flew home on 14th Sept, 8 babies that I know of had been admitted to hospital from the Presidente. Please contact your rep if you are about to travel here, I would recommend that you request alternative accommodation!

We stayed in this hotel from the 3rd-10th September. On the third day of arriving my 19month old baby started with diarrea and vomiting. Which lasted 4 days. The hotel staff wasn't helpful in neither were the Thompson reps. We had to call the doctor out on the third day of sickness which he told us there were numerous other babies sick. By the forth day we were really worried as she was very lethargic with high temp. We were due to go home so decided against hospital. On our last day our daughter was still ill, and our flight wasn't due till early hrs next morning. We asked the staff of we could stay in our room until at least 12 midnight but they told us we had to be out by 12 noon otherwise pay 46 euros to have the room until 9pm. We still had to wait in the lobby for 4hrs. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Two weeks after arriving home from what I can only describe as a holiday from hell, courtesy of Hotel Presidente, Thomson Holidays and their staff, I have finally cooled off enough to write a review that isn't just a long string of swearing. The only reason why I rated it "1" is because "0" isn't possible.

The hotel is absolutely filthy, the staff are rude and unhelpful and the Thompson reps only care about the holiday makers who aren't asking them for help. From a hotel that advertises as "baby friendly", I expected the rooms that are meant for said babies to be clean, they were not. The "Parent and baby" and the "Soft play" rooms were filthy and looked like they hadn't been cleaned for months, the soft play area at Gatwick airport was cleaner. The room we stayed in -was- in fact "cleaned" every day, but somehow that didn't make it actually clean, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and we had ant infestations every other day. The high chairs in the restaurant get swiped with the same dirty rag that all the rest of the tables get "washed" with, which by no means makes them clean, we had to use sanitizing wipes to clean them our selves. On day three at this "fantastic family resort" our 13 months old daughter started vomiting, after 6 hours of agony we called the in-house doctor to come have a look at her (160 euro). When I asked the reception to call him in, they didn't care beyond asking me to please not let her vomit on the beds. The doctor then sent us off to the hospital (another 160 euro), where we stayed for two days. Were the Thompson reps at all concerned with this? Not on your life. They didn't care one way or the other.

Additionally, the walls in this hellhole are paper-thin, so if you expect to have a proper night's sleep between every day's activities, you can forget it, the noise doesn't stop. Even in the so called "quiet rooms", which is what we had.

Overall, if you have a holiday booked for this place, I'd recommend you ask for different accommodation, as Hotel Presidente is not fit for pigs, much less humans, especially little ones.

From start to finish we had a fantastic week, The entertainment team were top class even though it was a family hotel and we were 3 adults we thoroughly enjoyed it. There are activities for the adults too which were all good fun.
Food in the hotel was also good a nice range of food on offer always. The views and surrounding are unbelievable set in such a lovely resort too.
big shout out to cheeky chelsea, fab faye and koo koo kirsty for making the holiday a lot of fun and by far the best hotel entertainment we have ever had.

Fantastic Thomson Super Family Hotel in Portinatx, just returned today. We travelled as a party of 12, 4 kids and 8 adults and we all had an amazing time :) The hotel itself is on a hilltop location about 5-10 minutes walk down and uphill again to the main town centre. Yes the rooms are not posh or flash but they are clean and suffice for their purpose, you wont need to spend much time in them when you have a fantastic Thomson entertainment team and lovely pool areas to spend your time. We all found the food amazing during our stay and the service in the restaurant was great. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the entertainment team, Faye, Chelsea and Kirsty work so hard keeping everyone happy and the kids clubs in particular were great! Evening entertainment was also fab for kids and adults alike. I would thoroughly recommend to families as there is something for everyone and Portinatx itself is a lovely little town with just enough to keep you entertained. We had an adults night in San Antonio too which was amazing (44 euro in taxi).

Room Tip: Sea View rooms would have amazing views as its right in the bay but think you need to pay extra

Recently returned from a week at the presidente which is no where near a 4 star hotel very clean hotel that overlooks a beautiful little bay. The reception staff &cleaners were very cheerful but bar &dining room staff were miserable food was average. We stayed half board & that is where you have to be careful being an all inclusive hotel they charge the earth for drinks ie 2 mouthfuls of coke 4.6 e & 1g&t & 1 vodka &coke 12e . Loved the resort but won't be returning to this hotel
