Went camping, advertised as family friendly yet the noise from the on site party was awful. First night made complaint and management told us if there was any problems following night to let them know. Same happened following night and management were informed. Instead of trying to sort out the noise they proceeded to verbally abuse my mother in law whom had complained. Shabby toilet block, only 6 toilets on the whole site. Rude obnoxious people, in a crappy location. Would not recommend.

After spending the last 19 months travelling throughout America and New Zealand and staying in hundreds of campsites, this is my worst camping experience ever. I only stayed 2 days of my 6 day booking because of appalling noise abuse - there was a full-on disco on site and the music went on into the early hours with people shouting and screaming and dogs barking everywhere. I demanded a full refund and was eventually given it. There are only 3 unsanitary and grubby toilets and showers for the whole site and the non-powered sites only have a porta-loo and no running water. To top it all off, the beach is filthy and the owner is ignorant, rude and crass - I wouldn't go back if I was paid to.

Stayed in a cabin for one night. The double bed mattress was really soft and uncomfortable. TV reception very challenging and no bottle opener included in kitchen utilities and they didn't want to lend us one to take back to the cabin! The bathroom facilities were good.

We stayed here for 1 night in our camper van as we needed to be near to Kaitai for a trip up the cape the next day.

We'd read that it had a log fire in the lounge area and it was a cold rainy evening when we arrived. The lounge and dining area are one big space with doors wide open. No fire lit, so we froze whilst eating.

The kitchen was clean and a good use of space. The bathrooms did the job.

Ahipara Holiday Park is a warm inviting place to base yourself in the far north, with friendly hosts and great amenities that are lovely and clean and well stocked, the grounds are well set out with a good play area for the kids. With only a 5 minute walk to the bottom end of ninety mile beach.

Cool campground. Must be the ultimate summer surfing hang out. Nice shared lounge with fire. Clean and tidy. No view of beach. Watched sunset from hill at top of campground.

Located within a few minutes walk of the bottom of 90 Mile beach, the park is very well equipped and kept in a really good condition.

Travelling in May we had our pick of powered sites, and picked out one towards the end of the row which turned out to be very quiet.

All the facilities where of a high standard, and the staff very friendly.

We'd stay there again
