My husband and I stayed here for two nights as our base for a trip up to Cape Reinga. Our hosts, Paul and Jenny, were perfect--welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful when needed, professional. The apartment felt quite private, with a superb view of the beach and waves. It's a lovely walking beach, and my only regret is that we didn't have enough time there. The place was comfortably furnished, and the kitchenette quite complete. Very highly recommend staying here for a base for Cape Reinga, as well as exploring the beautiful area.

We were made to feel very welcome by Paul and Jenny who were very generous with their hospitality. The Lookout apartment had stunning views of the sea and beach, we saw some amazing sunsets. You can access the wide sandy beach at the bottom of the garden through the exotic planted area. The apartment was modern, spacious and well equipped. We played golf at various courses and were warmly greeted wherever we went. Paul took my husband and son fishing and that was a lot of fun. If we return to the area, we would not hesitate to book the same apartment again. Quiet and restful location when we stayed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the ground floor apartment. Its beachfront position is superb and from the cold beer and wine waiting in the fridge on arrival to the comfortable and tasteful furnishings, there was great attention to detail and every need was catered for. Jenny and Paul were very welcoming and helpful hosts, to the extent of immediately posting my left-behind reading glasses back to me at no charge. We wished we could have stayed longer and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anyone visiting Ahipara.

Although our time there was during the off- peak period, it was a must to return from day trips before sunset where we could chill with a bevy or 2 and just go WOW!!!
Thanks to Paul and Jenny, our hosts, for their hints and tips and the beautiful accommodation provided, this was a stay that will always be remembered.

I had the pleasure staying at the Beach Front at Ahipara 20.08.12 hosted by Paul and Jenny. The environment was awesome, inviting and welcoming and adding to the experience of having the 90 mile beach right at your doorstep.

While lying on you bed you hear, see and smell the ocean. Take a walk on the beach and watch the sunset and rise, to me as a Maori it said welcome home. The accommodation was modern, clean, warm and comfortable, with a restful decor color scheme, and a indoor outdoor flow. It seems they remembered everything from providing information, all the utilities you could ask for in a self contained unit to include a torch and umbrella if needed. If you need anything just ring the bell. I highly recommend the Beach Front, its five stars from me. I will be back!!!!

We loved our stay at the Beachfront Apartments.
I've written two reviews.....and scrubbed them. Putting together words to describe our stay has proved difficult. So lets try this....
If u enjoy the beach or haven't seen it in a while...u need to come here,
Location...outstanding right at the entrance of 90 mile beach.
Reception...The hosts warm friendly and wanting you to enjoy their residence.
The Apartment....OMG! you go upstairs in an enclosed hallway and open the double door entrance and the scene in front of you is radiant light...warm tiles and sun...glass all around you...so comfortable...fantastic views from every window
oh..I didn't mention the bed..king..with feather duvet and feather pillows...
I can honestly say that my lady and I experienced a perfect day in Ahipara.
We will definitely come again.

Room Tip: The kitchen is well equipped so go prepared to cook your own meals and enjoy the views and ambiance...
