“Average food”

We stopped in for breakfast because this place has a lot of hype around it. We were quite disappointed, mostly because the price doesn't match the quality of the product. The pecan pie waffle caramel sauce was not the greatest and both our drinks were far too sweet to be able to drink them. It is ok but we have had better breakfast in Morpeth. It does get very noisy inside when it is busy and the seating is very close.

Was a great little cafe. Food great as well as service. We took my mum who is celiac and there was a great range of dishes to choose from. Would go any time I was in Morpeth.

“A Must visit!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

I am Coeliac so when i found out they do Gluten Free and have food besides just gluten free bread, i was excited! I had Waffles with Strawberries, Vanilla ice cream and Belgian Chocolate, it was absolutely mouth watering. Service was fantastic, the girls were very friendly and helpful. Presentation was amazing and timely service.

“Good for a quick bite.”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

We ordered a vegetarian crepe and a pecan pie waffle for brunch.

The crepe was delicate and the vegetable filling was flavourful. However, the size of the crepe was small and the filling scanty. It was served with a small bowl of green salad which tasted a bit bitter. The pecan pie waffle served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was delicious.

The dining area was too cramp for a pleasant dining experience. One side of the wall was nicely decorated but the opposite side where the counter was looked like organised chaos. Several of the biscuit jars on the counter were almost empty. The wall stacked with boxes of tea and coffee looked unappealing, almost like a storage area. Beside the counter was a large, tall kitchen cupboard where handmade chocs were displayed. Not only was the cupboard not meant for displaying chocolates it also used up more of the already cramped space.

The place was busy and most of the patrons seemed to be regulars.

2 of us spent $30 but ended up still hungry. There are several good eateries in the area with similar price range in much better surroundings.

“Not that great”
Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

We are locals and had never eaten here and thought we would use a voucher we were given as a wedding present.....thankfully we didn't have to use our own money. We started off with cheesy bacon garlic bread which was VERY garlicky and the bacon was the cubed kind you buy from Coles and not rasher bacon. I had the BBQ pork crepe which was a bit strange, the crepe itself really wasn't that great as it was a bit heavy and while it sounded good it just didn't seem to work. My wife had the chilli prawn crepe which came in a cream sauce and with rice, the crepe itself wasn't soft but cooked hard, almost like a papadum which lent it a strange flavour. This meal would have cost us $55 including a coffee and a milkshake so definitely not worth it. There are better places to eat in Morpeth for cheaper.
