The restaurant at Wandin Hunter Valley was recommended to us by a staff member at another winery in the Hunter Valley. We arrived without a booking and although they were busy we had no trouble getting a table. They offer a tapas style shared menu and it was our favourite lunch in the Hunter Valley. We shared dishes of scallops, garlic chilli prawns, field mushrooms and duck breast. All dishes were delicious! I chose a glass of rose wine to accompany my food, which was poured at the table from a new bottle! My husband chose a boutique beer. We went to the cellar door next to the restaurant after lunch to taste a couple of their wines and buy a bottle of our favourite (with so many wineries we had to limit ourselves to only one or two from each winery as we had to fly back to Melbourne).

We visited Wandin Valley on a girls wine tour day & this was our first stop, this being our second trip this year we were pleasantly surprised with the wine & the level of attention we received with our tasting. They have an extensive list for tasting & don't skimp or make you feel like you have to buy anything, you do simply because it's great wine at reasonable prices serviced with a smile ! We ended up buying 2 cases, wish we had room for more. Next time we are making a day of visiting again to sample their restaurant which looks simply delicious ! The setting is simply breathtaking too

Wonderful scenery, great food, wine & pleasant helpful people, what more do you need for a perfect holiday.

We attended a Wedding there this February.
After landing in Sydney & hiring a car from Redspot car hire at the Airport for a couple of day, we think the couple who were married there found the perfect location, everyone who attended said the same.

Two days is not enough time in Hunter Valley so we will return someday.........
