The restaurant at Wandin Hunter Valley was recommended to us by a staff member at another winery in the Hunter Valley. We arrived without a booking and although they were busy we had no trouble getting a table. They offer a tapas style shared menu and it was our favourite lunch in the Hunter Valley. We shared dishes of scallops, garlic chilli prawns, field mushrooms and duck breast. All dishes were delicious! I chose a glass of rose wine to accompany my food, which was poured at the table from a new bottle! My husband chose a boutique beer. We went to the cellar door next to the restaurant after lunch to taste a couple of their wines and buy a bottle of our favourite (with so many wineries we had to limit ourselves to only one or two from each winery as we had to fly back to Melbourne).
