“Wonderful Stay at Adina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of staying at Adina, 1st time was with some girlfriends and was so happy booked for wedding anniversary for 2 nights.
Very cosy and stylish self contained lodges with gas log fire & breaky supplied. Would highly recommend & will definitely be back again.

There are three lodges, located amongst the vines and behind the cellar door. Ours had three large bedrooms, all ensuite, comfortably accommodating 6 adults and two young children. The main bedroom was more than large enough to accommodate a travel cot and fold out camp bed.

The lodge was very well equipped, stylish, and set in a beautiful location. We stayed in winter, and found the lodge very well heated, and the lovely gas fire was great for ambience in the evening. We were provided with an excellent breakfast hamper including cereals, bacon, eggs, bread and juice to cook in the mornings. We used the BBQ both evenings, and would have loved to enjoy meals outside on the deck if it had been summer!

Everything was very clean and the staff very helpful. The only thing we weren't completely happy about was paying $50 for my toddlers fold out bed on top of the rate, but perhaps this is standard practice.

There is a lovely pool but its not heated, so only for the warmer months. Laundry with machine and dryer was a great bonus.

Will definitely stay again, preferably in the summer!

Room Tip: Any of the three lodges would have a great view!

We stayed here for 2 nights with 6 friends, everything you need for your stay is supplied & the lodges are self contained, each bedroom has its own ensuite & the gas log fire was very cosy as the Hunter was very windy & cold. We have tasted many of their wines before but this was the first time we have stayed at Adina...we will return.

Great lodge accommodation in Lovedale, the heart of the Hunter. Comfortable, self contained lodge overlooking vineyards and olive groves. Enjoyed some wonderful Hunter produce together with Adina wines and olives on the balcony.

We bought some Herb and Garlic green olives after tasting a few varieties on offer. Adina Vineyards grow their own olives and they ARE good! Olive Oil can be bought as well. We did not taste wine this time.

We are delighted you enjoyed our olives, and have taken time out of your day to review us.We certainly appreciate it. Maybe next time you are in the Hunter you could drop in and try our wines which are equally as good.

We (myself, 2 sisters and our 83 year old mother) have just returned from a 2 night stay at Adina's. My sister had won a two night stay for two people in a raffle. She had asked if she could extend to four people. Not a problem, for a reasonable additional cost we were able to use all of a three bedroom villa. The staff were very accommodating on arrival. The villas themselves were well appointed and comfortable with a lovely gas fire that kept us very warm and cosy on some chilly nights. All bedrooms also have reverse cycle AC. Although, be a little careful of the shelf above the basin in the bathroom the twin bedroom, its height is just right for banging your head when cleaning your teeth. We did wake up to a spectacular balloon overhead on the second morning. The setting for the villas overlooks the olive groves and is very quiet, just what we wanted. There is also a pool and Day Spa on site which looked quite reasonable (maybe next time). We had two glorious winter days rediscovering the cellar doors and hospitality of the Hunter vineyards. The customer service at the Adina cellar door was no exception, we bought a selection of wines and olive products (take advantage of the 10% discount for guests). With the new restaurant opening later in the year they will provide an all round experience for guests. A great place to base yourself for just Lovedale or the whole Hunter vineyard experience.

Room Tip: all three villas look great,

Quiet, secluded, picturesque - could not of asked for anything more. There are only 3 villas on property set apart from each other. You do not get to see other occupants. There is no road between villas and vineyard/olive. Villa has 3 rooms all ensuite - Two were locked, did not impact our space. Patio (and rooms) over look the vineyards. Full kitchen: fridge/freezer, dishwasher, m/wave, coffee pod machine with pods, oven and outside bbq. (we did not use facilities as we ate out for all our meals). Lounge has couches to seat 6, gas log fire, flat screen TV, music centre, dvd. Lounge and bedrooms also have aircon. White modern Bathroom has big, deep spa bath and separate shower - very hot water! Shampoo, conditioner, body-wash and soap supplied. Towels, hairdryer too. They even supplied mosquito repellent for elec sockets for mozzie season. Breakfast included is adequate,(frozen bread, eggs, cereal, jams, marg, long life milk, reconstituted orange juice and for those that want, Bacon). Our preference was to have a quiet "child free" accommodation, so breakfast food was just a bonus for us, as we wanted to explore fresh Hunter food at our own pace (eg. late breakfast etc). Location is perfect, everything in driving distance, (must have car). Villa is clean and comfortable. Their own brand of wines and olives are a definite must to get! Would definitely recommend and go back.

Room Tip: Other Tip: Most restaurants are closed Mon - Wed for Dinner. So during Winter -July, you can use inc...
