Rachel and Ian made us so welcome, we have enjoyed our stay very much. Our room had everything we could want and breakfast was much appreciated.
Caitlin and Samson added that little bit extra!
Nicely tucked away and quiet but easy to explore this wonderful area.
We will be back for more friendly conversation!

We had a fantastic one night stay here hosted by an english couple that made you feel at home in their modern, yet warm and homely B&B. From the first email sent to Rachel to saying goodbye, we couldn't have felt more welcome. I would most definitely stay here again should we return to Dingle, it was just a shame our stay couldn't have been for any longer.

  • Liked — Warmly welcome by the hosts.
  • Disliked — No TV in room - but maybe this is a good thing?

We thought of recommending this B&B as we really enjoyed staying there. Rachel and Ian are perfect hosts and they know when you would need help and when you rather would be left to yourselves. The cottage is so cute and totally charming. The living room basically is the old cottage. It has a wonderful fireplace and feels sooo comfortable. The guestrooms are modern extensions. They made sure that you will have an amazing view from the balcony or terrace onto the Slieve Mish Montain, directly in front of you with nothing in between. The rooms are very comfortable and nice. I am always cold. But Rachel and Ian kept a warm house waiting for us every time. I also like it clean and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything is created and decorated with attention to detail. The location is also very good. The cottage lies on the N86 between Dingle and Tralee. There are lots of think for you to do. Enjoy.

Just returned from a week's holiday in Ireland touring County Claire and Kerry and this was definitely the highlight. Ian and Rachel gave us a very warm welcome and the room we were given had stunning views across the surrounding mountains was spacious and spotlessly clean.

Although a little way out of Dingle itself the drive is stunning and we would certainly recommend Inch beach which is close by. The property is also ideally placed to explore the beaches on the north coast of Dingle.

The breakfast was superb and our hosts obviously cared a great deal about their guests comfort etc.

Unfortunately the home baking was in progress so weren't able to sample this so will need to return.

If you are looking for a friendly comfortable place to stay in Dingle this is it. Go for it!

We had a cycling holiday to Ireland in July and after a few days in Dingle we should have pushed further than Camp when we left - but we loved the look of Moan Laur when we were doing our research, so we booked ourselves a night there.

Rachael and Ian were welcoming and friendly. We felt very comfortable in their home but we also had plenty of space in our room, had we just wanted to stay in there. When we arrived we sat on the patio outside our room, admired the great views, watched their ducks and scoffed cake and coffee.

The house is a few miles from the closest restaurants but a lot of Moan Laur's guests are walkers on the Dingle Way and don't have cars so Rachael or Ian will drive and collect as required, and can cook for you if you give them notice. We took Ian's recommendation on a pub and had a great evening. Breakfast was yummy. We thoroughly recommend a stay here...

  • Liked — Older home (quite rare in Ireland!); friendly hosts; comfortable bed and great food
  • Disliked — That we couldn't stay longer! No complaints about Moan Laur...

We stayed at Moan Laur in February 2007. We got a very warm welcome in a very beautiful and cosy home. 2 new rooms have been added recently and we stayed in one of them. The room was very large, bright and the view was... well what can I say... we were just speechless, it's magnificent. We took breakfast and dinner at Moan Laur and had the chance to taste their organic duck eggs at breakfast (delicious!). Dinner was excellent, simple but honest food with lots of fresh vegetables. In fact there is nothing bad to say about this Bnb. All I can is advise: Just get there rather sooner than later!

  • Liked — Everything, we enjoyed every minute
  • Disliked — There's nothing not to like!

We've just recently returned from a 10 day trip to Ireland, and Moan Laur was by far the best accomodation we ran across. From the moment we arrived to fresh baked cake and tea, our stay was wonderful. An expertly renovated facility provided us with an incredible mountain view from our balcony, the food was outstanding (including our first experience of duck eggs) and our hosts were quite helpful with advice on restaurants, and destinations. And the price was the best surprise. Thanks for a great stay! Sue and Colleen.
