We came to Borth with two teenagers and one not-a-teenager. And all of them loved this place. The scenery was spectacular and it was so refreshing being this close to the sea again that would not stop beating at the rocks and the shore. And the best part was that it was so utterly deserted. Yes, there were people but not in the amounts that other beaches have.

Then there was the petrified forest which was it's own little spectacular thing to see. Lots of little stumps everywhere circled with a little bit of ocean water. And very much like the Silleth beach it is long, it would be a brilliant place to walk up and down and I can understand why people used this area to run and walk with their dogs. There were also plenty of people surfing and wind surfing.

We all agreed that it would be excellent idea to come again, especially when the heat pick up a little bit.

I should have packed my yoga map. This is an idyllic spot to get away from everyone and everything! The sun shone through the clouds and highlighted the pretty houses across the estuary but there was no sound at all. Walking here is perfect at any time!

Fantastic dog friendly beach and dunes. £2.00 to park. Well worth it to keep it open and accessible. Lovely walk through the dunes. Have to avoid some areas with dogs if nesting/breeding is taking place. Cafe and loos as well.

Loved this beach. Miles of soft sandy beach Dog friendly all year which is rare and was massive draw for us staying in the area. Beware it can be a bit of a trek for the little ones on a hot day from the car park to the beach but you can also find a closer spot on the estuary if need be. It's worth it though. Visitor centre was a wealth of local information and provides toilet facilities and a handy shop selling the usual tourist stuff plus cold drinks.

We’ve been coming to Borth for years and visit Ynyslas every time.
Perfect for the dogs to have a play on the beach, lovely for the kids to play in the sand dunes.
Lots of nature to see, various plants, animals, etc. You even get to see the occasional snake!
Highly recommend for all. Not great for wheelchairs or people with mobility issues, although there is board walks some of the way around the reserve.

Enjoyed walking around the beach at low and high tides. Enjoyed looking at the pools for crabs also went for a dip. Also was interested in the ww2 history of the area with remains of the top secret rocket testing facility. Well worth visiting

Perfect for families, lots of rock pools and warm shallow water for kids to enjoy themselves safely. A bit of a trek from the car park through the dunes and I struggled, even without kids, so if you are carrying babies and equipment on a hot day it would be a struggle! You can get on the beach at different points far easier than we did, which was right by the visitor centre. The rock pools tend to be that end so it might be worth walking up the beach.
