“Good by Portbou standards”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Quality price ratio ok. Better choose the set menus. Portions are rather small. A good choice for dinner on the promenade. The terrace is great if it is not too windy. As usual, service gets slow and messy as it gets late. It is advisable to book and show up early (European schedule) during peak season.

“what a gem, not to miss!”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

After eating in Are y Sem in Argeles while on holiday (which was totally dissapointing) and not worth the money we went to the Spanish border to eat at Passatges after the amazing reviews on TA. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! We had the menu of the day for 13,50 per person and that included wine, bread and olives. It is beyond me how that can be done for that price! We had mussels and pasta with cepes (mushrooms) for starters and the paella, specialty of the house. Dessert were also very tasty. Our 4year old ate a huge amount of food so good was it. The service is excellent, very attentive and friendly without being in your face. We went back a second time and ate a la carte. We had swordfish, tuna, grilled vegetables, it was all wow, even better than the first time around. The terrace outside is very nice and shaded directly next to the sea.Not to miss, must go!!!

“Trust Trip Advisor - Excellent people, excellent food!”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

My husband and I were vacationing in France and we wanted to go to Spain for a day.
We "Googled - restaurants in Portbau" and tripadvisor gave this restaurant a good rating.
We were there for lunch and had the daily special.
I must say Passatges is a 10 out of 10. Not only the food but also the people working
There. The two men working were very friendly and the service was excellent.
The menu is done in several languages (French, English, German + one or two others).
We spoke with the Maitre d' and amazingly he spoke English very well and gave us
Menu suggestions. I also heard him speak French to the table behind us.
When the food came it was truly wonderful. Everything including the amazing deserts
Are home made. I am truly picky when it comes to restaurants but I couldn't find anything
To fault. Everything was very clean including the washrooms! You won't be disappointed.

2 fois on a manger ici CA VAUT LE VOYAGE! on plus tres belle vue sur la mer
Qualité prix inbattable

Best on the Passieig it was closed once so we went to the L Ancora ( 3 Passieg) 2 doors up a rip off tourist trap and rotten fish stay away from that one.
The couple at Passatges (its the next to last on the right overlooking the bay) really care, the food is great and they show up the others overlooking the sea (especially the dreadful ANCORA)

“A great find”
Reviewed July 17, 2012

We stumbled across Portbou after leaving Barcelona. We found this resturant after enjoying a drink at a little beachside bar. The seafood paella was great.
