“Nice outside table, food ok.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

We had lunch outside, you have to go inside to order. We both had lobster roll but it was in a panini bun and not that great compared to others in area. Owners, man and wife, were very friendly and in the process of selling the restaurant.

“Excellent food, staff and ambiance!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

An excellent cafe in all ways! A place for visitors to meet locals; bookcases with a large variety of used books line the walls. Free use of the computer and wifi. Free newspapers available. Music on the weekend open to everyone with kitchen parties on Friday nights and professional entertainers on Saturday evenings. Lovely deck filled with flowering plants...a great place to eat on warm days. Coffee is very freshly brewed and high quality beans are used. A good selection of teas. Sandwiches are creatively prepared with fresh local ingredients. Try the Brie and apple panini! Soups are homemade and desserts are made locally, cookies, oat cakes, squares, etc. Wines by the glass are available. the owners and staff are friendly and helpful, knowledgeable about local businesses, offer maps and directions. A delightful find!

“Great sandwiches”

I really liked the Chicken Salsa Sandwich but found the atmosphere to be very gossipy.. Cute location and nice patio for the summertime

Great ambiance, friendly service, mindblowing date square and exquisite espresso. Definitely a 6 on 5. Don't expect more than the best coffee place on your way.

“dinner just like lunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2012

Clean, Adequate food. Predictable but acceptable coffee. Sandwiches for both lunch and dinner. Chowder watery with more vegetables than seafood. Later on at another restaurant on the trip, we learned that this is a legitimate recipe for a kind of chowder but at the time we had no idea and were disappointed. The Atlantic smoked salmon panini was good. Also, the art gallery that is attached has nice, interesting examples of local are and crafts for sale. The restaurant at the Hillcrest View Inn up the hill and out of town is worth the drive if you are looking for good chowder and interesting presentation of seafood.
