“A very sad experience”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Our recent visit to this wildlife park turned out to be a very distressing experience. The animals
seemed 'dejected', had virtually nothing that resembled their natural habitat, insufficient water
and the cages for the birds were very small. It was very hot while we were there and many of
the animals had no place to find shelter. I hope something will be done to improve conditions
for these beautiful animals. In every other way, our visit to Kangaroo Island left us with happy
memories.
P.P.

“PRISON FOR ANIMALS!”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Kangaroo Island had to be the highlight of our trip when we visited Australia but this "park" was just a really sad, sad place to be. Going from seeing these same animals out in their natural habitats, free roaming with their families to seeing them behind wires and in small cages for the rest of their lives was really heartbreaking! The place was not well kept, it smelled, the birds had nowhere to fly, the koalas only had a stump of a tree, and the crocodile had a little area. I would suggest NOT visiting this place and giving them any more money to continue to trap these animals.

“Great Experience So Glad I Didn't Miss This”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

I traveled by 4 WD the night before to see Kangaroos, Wallabies, and other native wildlife by car and spotlight at a great distance, however there is NOTHING that beats the opportunity to stroke a sleeping Koala up close or feed many wallabies or great grey or red kangaroos up close and see them up close in the daytime with their young. There is an amazing array of native birds, native Australian mammals, and very nice caring educational commentary and assistance in directly experiencing the absolute wonder of these animals offered by the owner gentleman who truly loves his wildlife park and the great animals there. Be sure to bring cash the entry price is quite affordable for hours of enjoyment, if I recall about $13 AU and food for animals is only $1. The lady upfront comments below I believe are exaggerated although not cheery or overly friendly she is business like, no worries, the rest of the park is great fun and an amazing experience that was my last stop on the island that I wish I had made much sooner.

“Fun!”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

We came in sept 2010. It was the first time on our trip that we were able to touch koalas and feed kangaroos and wallabies, and we had a lot of fun! We went to Cleland Park afterwards, which was better maintained, but this is family owned.
