we went really late, in the day for a drive around the park, just before they closed it, and we were alone on almost all of the roads, looking at the wildlife, realy good day, but some areas in middle of the day over crowded

You get amazing views of the coast from the top and unless you are unfit to do a 20-25 minute walk up the steps, i would say avoid the flying dutch man as well. THe walk to the top of the lighthouse is well worth it and i prefer it compared to taking the cable car (flying dutch man). Its windy and a bit chilly at the top (even in summers), so advisable to take a light jacket, especially in the evening. Good photos shots from the top

To all those who say this is a must during any Cape Town visit, I heartily agree. Both stark and beautiful, it is one of the most striking places I have ever seen. Do bring good walking shoes and layered clothing, for the rocks underfoot and the usually strong wind at your back. On the way to or from, be sure to see False Bay and Boulders Beach (home of African penguins), also equally worth experiencing.

Cape Point Light House has far better views then the official cape of Good Hope. This is just a sign to take a picture behind.

This is a must if you visit the area. The scenery is fantastic ... Never seen anything like it. Make sure you wear practical shoes if you plan to visit the light house and the top of the cape of good hope. It is a steep walk for both, so not recommended for those with reduced mobility or small children. That said, even if you do not do the steep pieces, the scenery at sea level is amazing and definitely worth a visit.
