we spent a day on a private tour from Cape Town right around the pennisula. The scenery is stunning and you see both sides of the coastline.

“Not to be missed.”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

Not to be missed as a tourist attraction - very weather dependent but worth it. Cape point funicular, cafe and shop a bit of a rip-off but expected.

“Great trip out for a whole day”
Reviewed November 15, 2013

Four of us hired a taxi driver to take us to this lovely place for the day. It takes a couple of hours to drive there from Cape Town and the journey getting there is also amazing. We stopped off at many coastal resorts and covered this long winding peninsular through out this mountainous region. It is part of Table Mountain National Park. It's funny but you only ever think about the 'front' view of Table Mountain from Cape Town but it's just the beginning of this mountainous range stretching back to the Cape Of Good Hope. It has many attractions walks hiking picnic sites game, bird watching wild animals flora and forna, historical monuments an old lighthouse and has some 600 plus ship wrecks around it's shores. Best of all is it's stunning views. Looking down over it's sheer cliff top views with its variety of birds gives you a great sense of freedom and space. I loved it! We saw baboons large ostriches buffalo and lizards as well as Egyptian geese redwings penguins and seals.i had always believed the meeting point between the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans were here, however, geographically, they meet at nearby Cape Agulas national Park.
I would advise anyone to go by taxi!for 10 hours it cost us approx £28 each that's 450 rands. Great value for money with our driver speaking good English and stopping off frequently for photo opportunities and taking us to all the big tourist attractions as well as places off the Beaton track.

“Awesome view, great site to see”

Worth the long and winding road trip to get to it. Take pics! It is where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans collide :)
